I don't have Ben's number any more but I expect I'll see him in the next week or so and will try and arrange things.

OK I spoke to Ben last night and asked if he was still up for this. He said he was definately up for it and definately has the backers but needs to wait until February until he's got English Pool games out of the way and had time to practice. I did say 4 months seems like a long wait and to be fair to Ben he said he'd play tomorrow but his Dad would prefer him to wait until February. So I'll speak to his Dad Steve soon and let you know if we can get it on sooner. [ This message was edited by: Riggers on 2007-10-16 08:33 ]

Its a shame to hear that ben wont be playing. I fancied phil to take this one! dark_horse............when a defining moment comes along, you either define the moment or the moment defines you!! [ This message was edited by: dark_horse on 2007-10-16 21:11 ]

Last night I heard that he would play January at the earliest saying he had english pool tournaments to get out of the way before he would consider practising on the big table. Why he needs 3 months practice I don't know but I guess he wants to be well prepared.
Having said that, I'm pretty sure there will be a match of some sort on the Friday night before the Barnsley open. I have a couple of people interested in playing me and another young local player who'd like to play Phil.

I say Phil to play Tony Burton. That'd be a good first money match

Me and Steve Evans talked about a game so I'll get in touch with him and see if I can get it on.
