i like your way tho, will give it a go tomorrow.
sb.. Yeh, I had the exact same problem of either winning or losing easily so I made this variation up which is perfect IMO. I should copyright it

Christ Almighty!!!!, if you're playing the ghost with BIH after the break, you should be spanking the ghost everytime.... Yes Willie, which is why I made that variation where you only win the rack if you don't take BIH and can halve the rack if you have no shot on the one and choose to take BIH. How does that sound?
Riggers, I like your line of thinking That way is much better and tougher, because it means that you have to put the effort in to the racks you win I also played a Full Rack version where you can shoot any ball, but any ball(s) that are pocketed on the break, get spotted again, and you start from the CB (Cueballl) behind the string, PLUS you can't shoot any balls that are behind the string. The version that I mention is the similar to "Equal Offence", but there's no scoring, you're just playing to clear the rack, playing 10 racks. The best result I had, was missing the last ball in the 10th rack for a perfect game, which was a long bank shot that came up a little short on me Willie ----------------- If ya got 'em, smoke 'em [ This message was edited by: TheWizard on 2007-08-23 19:06 ]

Another routine is to play 10 racks of 10 ball on your own. You score points in each rack equal to the lowest numbered ball left on the table so if you clear to the 6 and miss the 7 you score 7 points. If you clear the rack you score 12 points. I always take BIH at this game and usually sometimes use it as a friendly challenge match against an opponent to see who can score the most points.

Am I the only one who hardly ever understands what "Maltese Willie" is saying?

Theres loads of drills out there. I find Straight pool (14-1) a nice way to get sharpe and get a feel again if i havent practice in a while, playing the ghost is pretty good, The L setup, Circle Setup. 3 balls(in line with the dots) on each cushion is a nice practice drill for positioning. Always havin to pot the opposite ball as your next shot Eg pot one in the top right then the next bottom left. etc etc
