There is no doubt Tony Drago is brilliant to watch. He was brilliant to watch at snooker although rarely ever won. Perfect to boost the profile but whether he'll win the most points, I'm not so sure.
Dazzler seems to stick out, although he might have to win in Europe just to be certain!!

it's embarressing for europe.
Danny, to save your embarressingment why don't you first type your posts in Microsoft Word and then use the spellchecker? You then copy and paste the corrected material into the forum. zzzZZZ Go pick up on everybody elses spelling mistakes if it bothers you that much =] lol.

Dazzler seems to stick out, although he might have to win in Europe just to be certain!! He already has. He won the EuroTour event before last in Sindefingen, Germany.

I knew Dazzler had won - I ment to say he might need the number 1 ranking in Europe to be sure!! But no matter what - he'll always be the number 1 amongst the Yorkshire mafia!! [ This message was edited by: expertfluke on 2007-07-16 16:42 ]

I wish I had the time to do as you suggest, there are so many spelling mistakes in this forum. Just happens to be one of my foibles, it comes with old age!!!!!!!!!

not that it matters but ill chip in with my 6..
souquet - captain Stepanov - No1 eurotour (possibly)
Peach Drago - if he played every ET event - hed be No.1! based on the results he has had! Engert - Masters
then anyone from Hohman, Van den Berg, Chamat,
Probably Chamat because the Yanks hate him so much - he winds em up, always great to watch and MASSES of experience at that level.

Some interesting selections here guys. I guess it is no certainty that Stepanov will finish No1 on rankings even though he has a good lead. He will be under it knowing that he just needs a decent run..dont you worry about that! And stranger things have happened. I mean if the players currently ranked 2 to 6 win the event, then Stepanov will need a Semi ... ish and thats no forgone conclusion! I am not going to put my pics down because i believe that seeing as i am in the shake up i should stay quiet and try and let my pool do my talking. I think that Matchroom have a real headache this year to pick the team because none of the usual suspects have really stood out in events throughout the year in Europe or worldwide. So how was my spelling Peter? hahahahahahahaha. -----------------

i think it like when i spoke to johan the coach he said needs a few players with heart!!
told him to put me on the list lol!
the events all about bottle and heart in my opinion wether i or him makes the team i really think they have been lacking heart in the team for many years!

only so much 'quiet brooding, ice-man' type behaviour you can have, time to show the americans you can have all the front in the world, but you aint never going to keep a continent of Warriors down... Whos with me?????

To be honest i think the way the mosconi cup places are picked in europe is a bit of a joke.It seems that if your face fits you are in no matter how poorly you have played that season. In my opinion the best way to pick the team would be.
Top 4 off Eurotour ranking after Weert Player who does best in World Championships (manila) 1 wild card This system would be a much fairer for the players they would know exactly where they stand and not just guessing if they are in or out.

sounds like a great system WORTHY, who would your wild card be? i still like the idea of O'sullivan but apparently it clashes with the uk snooker championships so he's out. How about Drago? i don't think he will be in the snooker....

well why u like the idea of sullivan?for tv purposes?
worthy i sort of agree with you but didnt the mosconi cup team miss a euro tour doesnt affect them players for year after!!
i like the top 4 idea because them 4 obvioulsy on form!
and i think other 2 should be wild cards!
guaranteed strong team then in my opinion!
highest place finisher in worlds not a great way anyway can get lucky with draw that way!
i prefer to see it been earned over a full year not just one tournament!

why after weert and not after next event which might be uk tour!! surley the guys who didnt attend malaga because played mosconi are affected by this rule? thats why i think it should be after event 6! pick your top 4 euro tour and 2 wild cards who might have done great world worldwide but didnt get the luck on euro tour or able to make all events ppl like mika, thorston etc!
