But daz is right this has been going on too long, and until things are brought into the open and not done behind closed doors, and a new president is running it who will take calls and know what there doing, let riggers and shirley take over completly you will see a major improvement.come on mr president put yourself up for re-elction and let someone who knows what there doing take over otherwise we will be here in another two years with the same problems and 24 runners, our top players deserve a better more professional run tour. How many times have myself and many other players asked for a copy of the account sheets and still they refuse (why) it is our right,

i havent been around long in the pool world but i was just wondering did you all stab doug in the back when ted took over ?
mark ted doesnt need to take calls he is in stretford rileys its not far from you
if riggers and shir take over i have no doubt they will do a good job and no doubt in two years ill be defending their job from your new complaints.
if you want the job mark just say lets not play politics i just want a situation where people are not dancing in the street cause their own sport is struggling

emesy do you know who dynamitedaz is?
Just thought calling one of the best players in the world a pathetic school boy and asking him to grow up was a little disrespectful!

I just wanna say that there were 47 runners yesterday, not a great turnout but at least we could finnish in one day There were only a couple of the "top" players missing so getting to the final again was fairly pleasing for me. I played well all day but in the final i got no run from the break and never saw the one ball....and Tommy did!....he took his chances very well and deserved to win. Well done to Andy Worthington and Mark Gray (again!) they both reached the semi's. The prize money was ok (at the business end) considering the number of entries........but they did only pay down to last 8 players. -----------------

So the whole day they had spare on sunday, did they use it productively and update the rankings?

Hi Dan
Ted did run a short £10 comp on the sunday which I played in, which ran well and it was nice to see the spare day being used.
It was a shame to see only 47 entrants at the comp this weekend.
I dont put many posts on Pro9 and I dont like to get involved in all the 'politics' as alot of us like to call it, but I do know that the longer people say that the tour is on its 'last legs', and that we need a new owner/president, the shorter the BPPPA will last.
I did read the post of which Stu the head ref put on and I do like some of it, but I dont think that everything that is displayed reflect what actually goes on.
It would be great if this country had a lot of tours and everyone was competing to have the best one, then you could say that it would be acceptable to question (so heavily) the running, or overall set up of the BPPPA.
I agree with what some of us say that potential sponsors who could be exposed to these comments wouldnt come anywhere near it. why would they?
Its been said time and time again but alot of posts on here about the BPPPA are extremely cynical and in my opinion are said without thinking.
We need to help this situation get better, attract more players. Not just by saying ''the players want this'' and ''the players want that''.
Plus, some people like to hide behind names on this site and post negative comments.
I think that even if there is 60 people or 116 people at a tournament I still look forward to it the same way.
Lets NOT let the tour fold or stop running. Can you imagine the morale of all the British players if that happens?
I dont think it would be the best thing for the sport
