personally i thought the minutes were a little thin on the ground, its more of an actions list as opposed to documented minutes of a meeting.
The other point to note with them was that that was in January, a number of the points don't appeared to have been actioned yet.
Sorry to keep sounding so negative with posts on the BPPPA but i've lost all faith with it.

I agree that a forum is not the place to sort out the BPPPA's problems. However the threads that have appeared on this site in the last few days wouldn't exist if there had been better communication of what was going on.
Moving forwards, if you insist on holding a meeting behind closed doors, make sure the minutes of the meeting are published within 48 hours of the close of the meeting and if possible sooner than that.

I'm afarid my sense is that the players council is largely innefective and there is now a feeling of apethy from many members. I think it's up to us to change that.

Is the players council trying to make a difference for ALL members? What's everyones thoughts? Well the minutes seem to indicate that we will be getting a copy of the financial accounts of the BPPPA. If this materialises then yes that is real progress and will actually give some substance for debate rather than pure speculation. If that happens congrats to those who pushed for it on our behalf. Some of the other points are covered shall we say with brevity! I suppose the attendees can testify to the veracity or otherwise of the document itself.

Well I can say the minutes are an accurate reflection of the meeting. We discussed provision of accounts and proposed improvements to the tour. The latter resulted in the players survey, for which we await the result. Whilst some good should come from this my view is that much more could and should be achieved from these meetings by being better prepared and closely following up on actions. Progress should also be much quicker. It's up to the players council and Ted to sort that out IMO. [ This message was edited by: Riggers on 2007-06-06 15:32 ]

i have to say that generally i have tried to defend the BPPPA on this and the other thread but ...
i am starting to wonder
those minutes are poor the accounts shouldnt take 6 months i could do them in a day the questionaires were 3 months after the meeting and 3 months have passed since.
i still maintain that generally i have no real complaints about them and the tours are better since this meeting
sometimes i think we forget the work they have done with the juniors and wheelchairs ect ect but
look at the minutes we need a web designer i know for a fact we have one that is a member
it is not profit making but if it was run as a business think what it could do

Based on the uproar of recent days and the issue of the minutes of the last meeting, is there not a case to have an EGM at the next comp on the 23rd June where a number of the items sent to Riggers can be discussed and any outstanding actions from the last meeting can be chased?

Can someone please help me. I'm trying to find the minutes that we're talking about but all i can find is a list of potential talking points with absolutely zero detail which could have even been put together this morning just to try and shut us lot up. Isn't this just another effortless example?

OK I got your point but the answer is easy to work out to all the points on there, they mention the website, why discuss it and not change anything it still is not updated, all points that players sent in would just be mentioned then ignored they are not interested in anyones points and as Dazzler has said many times that is why he quit as the players council, now surely players are entitled as paying members to vote for a new chairman and until that is done nothing will change, then we need a chairman who listens to the players council, who would be willing to be the chairman (I am not interested but would do website for them regular) If you want improvments it has to be from the top because that is where you are getting no answers... Or maybe a Chairwoman Shir...)

Isn't this just another effortless example? Well looking at the minutes document, it was created 05 June 2007 13:26:00 (yesterday lunchtime) its been revised 3 times and the last time was by Ted. (i appreciate that this data isn't always accurate but if you're going to fiddle it, at least do it right) A quick fix which has further demonstrated the disregard to the players intelligence shown by the BPPPA??

Isn't this just another effortless example? Hi, Sorry, I just listed the items from the minutes, you need to download the BPPPA EGM Minutes by clicking the blue link in the article on the homepage. Download the minutes from the EGMThis should open a Microsoft Word document containing the full details of the Minutes.

All the bpppa have provided is a list of bullet points, and how long has it took them to produce it?! It seems to me that every response the bpppa give just confirms the whole lack of organisation and management. We have waited a long long time to have any minutes published and what do we get, a list of nothingness probably scribbled on the back of someones cig packet. So bpppa, take a step back and put your shovel down because your hole is far too deep for most already.

Well you read it and I will pick out a couple of points from non actions that were mentioned, people assisting the website updates and full revamp, nothing has happened. Full account sheets including membership fees to be sent via email, still nothing where are all these things.

Too many posts here continue to talk negatively about the past. I can only repeat what I originally said...
So send your suggestions to me or any other players council rep in person or privately by email (not here) and give us a chance to push for the changes you want. The alternative is to continually rubbish our own organisation on here in public and that is not going to achieve anything no matter how much you may believe it is justified.
