Sorry to drag everyone back on topic (!), here are the agenda items for tomorrow's council meeting:
- Tournament & Payout Changes. - Prize structure & payout. - Reduce the number of annual events. - pay down to last 16 on Sunday. - Top ranked players pay higher entry fees. - Communication of Players issues. - Advanced registration to tournaments. - Plate comp for Sunday non-qualifiers. - Membership & Association administration. - 12 month ranking list.
I've collated this based on everyone's feedback not just from the items raised in this thread, but from emails, PM'ed, phone calls etc. I trust it represents current player opinion.
Output will be collated from the session tomorrow and fed back to people via minutes.
If anyone has any questions, please PM me.
Regards. Simon..

Most of the problems above players have been saying for a long time now so it will be about time something was done, if anything is, Membership has been a joke what do you get for it, (I was told a BPPPA t-shirt) I am still waiting for the last two, I think the issue of top ranked players paying higher fees has got to be a no no, what could happen is players like Raj Hundal for eg, if they do decide to come to another event will pay less for entry than all the top ranked BPPPA players, everyone should pay the same I think if that is brought in you will one or two more top ranked players drift away at the end of the day you get nothing for being ranked anyway this is not a complaint just my opinion and I am not a top ranked player as I did not rejoin this season. One issue that should be looked at is the venues, these have to be spread out around the country I managed to get over to Manchester and noticed a lot of the Southern boys were not there, this has to be sorted and spread out. Look forward to the outcome of this meeting and will consider rejoining if the players views are looked at and changes made, I know they have been ignored in the past but I hopefully will see changes this time.

Dear all,
The Player's meeting went ahead on Saturday afternoon and lasted well over 3 hours! Many items were covered, including all the main points from the players feedback list I put up here a few posts ago.
Minutes were taken at the session and everyone agreed that the best vehicle to communicate back to our members was via a press release on the BPPPA website, this is being put together and will be available to view shortly, please keep checking the website for updates.
Just to set everyone's expectations, full minutes will not be published on this site, as not everyone who reads it is a member of the BPPPA. However, we will post a part summary, anyone requiring further info can view our press release for the detail.
Regards. Surgeon..
