Why cant Mark, Ricardo, Shirley and Daryl work together on a new tour, it seems that they all have credentials to make a tour a success, surely there would not be an issue of egos

Absolutely, I also would be happy to get involved in the day-today running. I also have have some experience of running comps and could help bring a tour stop out of manchester and into the Midlands?

I am sure there are others who would be happy to get involved if it helps the greater cause. Perhaps a consortium or association is the way forward so there is not reliance on one person?

Thoughts?

Here's a suggestion for you all, what about Mark and Dazler, starting up, an offical American Pool federation, that is more closely affiliated with the EPBF, WPA, etc, and that will include all areas of the UK, inc Scotland, Wales and N. Ireland?... you guys have done a fantastic job with the EPT and I am very much at the view, that there is no reason why you guys wouldn't be able to set up a good and fully operational governing body, for all players, in all disciplines :)

I don't mean any disrespect to any other tours by this, but the UK Pool scene is disgustingly disorganized and it's about time that something was done about it and that it be done asap :)

your certainly living up to your name on this thread mate. My only suggestion is that to increase the turn out to these ranking events clubs all over the country should be urged to hold regular qualifying events with entrance fee/fuel costs going to the winner. this will equate to around an average of £80. £5 entry fee=16 players. 160 odd rileys clubs=160 entrants. am i in cookoo land or is that going to help matters at all?

I was thinking more along the lines of therere being events of various disciplines being held, throughout the UK, in varying areas, each years, e.g. first event being in Harrow, next event, Cardiff, following event, being in Kirkaldy, and then, Club 9, Belfast, and so on, that way you're giving everyone in the UK a chance to not only get involved and to take part, but the more coverage a tour has, the more support it will find, therefore, more oppertunities of sponsorship, etc, but as well as this, it would be worth having other independant events to create more tournaments and disciplines for all players, like Banks, One Pocket, etc, but instead of the independant events having a ranking points scenario, just keep it based on prize money, and keep it simple :)

people are barely starting to pick up the rules of 9-ball, i think your idea is very confusing as i am pretty sure that most people enjoy 9-ball a lot more than all the other fun and games.

How is it a confusing idea, when it has been done before, after all, look at the BCA and the EPBF, 2 perfect examples right there in front of you.

Thanks for the vote of confidence paddy :) lol

Are you going to the Club 9 tourney on Saturday? :)

lmao, I only edited the post to correct a typo :) lol, you know I'm right :-D

Anyways, in being serious though, I really think that Mark and Dazzler, could really get a brilliant set up going, after all, they have done it before and there's no reason why they couldn't do it again, and along with Boyzi and Shir and a few others, few others giving some good input, it could only get better :)

Either way, I just want to see the pool scene get back on track again, so that all players can have a tour, that they are happy with :)

Willie

Note - This keyboard slurps so bad, that it can slurp the 9ball, through a garden hose!

So an inredient for a good tour is:-

Various/Good locations,
Multiple Disciplines,
Good Prize Money
Reasonable Entry Fees
Paid to the last 16/32
Big Turn Out
Good Sponsorship
Well Organised
Accountable To Players
Future/Further Growth
Televised (Optional)
Resposible Distribution Of Finance
And A Non Profit Organisation

And any other suggestions please say so
