Does that mean that if I phone Ricardo to cancel my entry and them call him back after 2 minutes I become "reserve 1" and can leave group 2 and join group 1?

Yes well done Richard. From what I hear Raj will be disappointed because he did very little wrong at 8-4 up in the semi but from what I saw towards the end you looked to be really flowing. Congratulations on the win.

Yet again this was such a great event. In my opinion this is THE best format you can have for a tournament. In the group stages the fact you play 8 racks rather than race to x works really well because most matches take around the same length of time so play keeps moving and everyone is kept interested.

I was quite pleased with my own performance overall though a little disappointed to lose in the semi having had good chances at 6.6, 6.7 and 6.8. It's nice to be getting to the business end of tournaments at last though :)

cheers riggers, being 6-2 and 8-4 down to a player of raj hundals quality you really dont expect to get back into the match especially when my break was not working at all, but you just have to hang in there and wait for your chances and luckily 4 me they came.

at 8-6 i did have one peice of good fortune when i hooked myself on the 9, i kicked at it, made it then landed on the ten and potted the ten, raj was not happy, but i said 'if efren had done it you would have said great shot', raj replied 'yeah but he would have checked the angle' to which i said 'so does that mean i'm a better kicker than efren seen as i dont have to check the angles'.

from then on i managed to produce two break and runs to win the match which was very satifying.

also thanks to everyone who participated, i hope you share my delight in staging these tournaments and continue to support a great venue that is mickey flynns.

our next event is just 3 weeks away on the 6th may so ring me now to resrve your spot 07894 905 788 or if its easier you can text me

see you soon
ricardo

Good luck with the next one. It will be the first one I'll have to miss due to me making my eurotour debut.

Indy congrats on a successful tournament and I hope your efforts are rewarded with a bigger crowd in the next tournament.

Great format which gave:-

Players 3 Guaranteed Matches
Decent Prize Money Paid To Last 8
Plate Comp For Group Stage Losers

Lovely venue with very good playing conditions, and very friendly staff would recommend it to anyone.

I hope to see everyone in the next 10 ball event at Mickey Flynns.
