Just to let everyone know, the first event for 2007 will be held at Rileys Wavertree near Liverpool. This club is one of the best "new Rileys" in the country, 18 tables that will have brand new cloth ready for the event! The dates are 3rd/4th FEB. and the closing date for entries will be Wed 31st JAN. We will start taking entries very soon. Prize money is guaranteed as usual, but this time we will be paying down to last 32! and if there is more than 100 entries the prize money will rise even more!!! The EPT website will be updated with this and all the other dates for 2007, along with all the other news over the next couple of days. -----------------

EDIT - In fact, just thinking about it, I wouldn't mind playing the first EPT Event , but I'm gonna have to get back to you on that , but I've got a feeling that there'll be a few guys comin over to the EPT anyways, and so, I'll see what happens as reguards the grand finals of the All Ireland 14-1 event to play on that same weekend , maybe Ronnie could switch the 14-1 event to different date with one of the Ladies or Junior Tour Events??? Everyone else though, that is already going, I wish you all the very best of luck in the event, in the event that I can't make it Willie [ This message was edited by: TheWizard on 2006-12-27 05:35 ]

Well i noticed on the Irish calander that virtually every weekend is taken...a lot of tournaments, so its imposible to avoid sometimes. Then we have the Eurotour, English pool, Snooker, sappa, bpppa.....plus other one off events around Europe to avoid. We do our best! -----------------

sorry to say I can't make it either, just bad timing. I hope you have a cracking event and will cross my fingers for a better date for the second event, if you'll still have me of course.
p.s. merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. Catch you in 2007 some time.

Hi everyone, hope you all had a good festive period!! I have just got back home after been with family in Yorkshire.....and will be getting everything sorted and ready before the new year starts so that players can enter our first event of 2007. I have a big meeting with a potential sponsor tomorrow so fingers crossed that this goes well and i can give you all some even better news than the news that i already have for you..... .....I dont mean to keep you guessing but its best that i get this meeting out of the way before i announce anything. One things for certain, the EPT will be the place to be in 2007! -----------------

As promised....EPT web site is now updated. Players can now enter the first EPT event of 2007!...to do so visit the website.....just click on my name below The meeting with the potential sponsor went well and we will be having another meeting to iron out a few things to see if we can do something together....more on this as and when it happens. We are looking to hold a Grand finals event which will include a presentation night etc......Players competing in this will come from the ranking list along with a few wild cards. We are not yet sure how many players will be involved as its in its early stages but we are looking at 64......after the 4 events for scheduled 2007, we will have held a total of 7 events if you include the 3 from 2006. The final rankings for 2007 will be determind from each players BEST 5 EVENTS from the 7. So players who have played in more events will have the chance to be rewarded for their commitment. As i said earlier, the grand finals event is in the very early stages at the moment, but this is what we are aiming for.....and only in our second year! Now, take a visit to the EPT website by clicking on my name below: -----------------

Yes we will be back in Wealdstone (Harrow) on 31st Mar/1st Apr. Last year this event was a real cracker, with names like Ronnie O'sullivan, Mika Immonen, Marcus Chamat to name but a few....with a total of 102 runners! This year we are expecting to go well over 102 entries, and therefore posibly go well into the 5 figure sum for the prize fund! But obviously we have the Liverpool Open before this and this is the event we are concentrating on right now. -----------------
