Hi All (from Roy Kimberley, BWPPA Chairman)
With the new season quickly approaching, I want to take this opportunity to bring everyone up to date with information regarding the biggest wheelchair pool tour in the world. You can find all the details on our revamped website at:
www.bwppa.com
Hope to see you at an event soon, and if you know any players who would be interested in joining the tour, or sponsors who would be interested in supporting the tour, please pass our information on to them.
Many thanks to pro 9 and big Dave for all his support.
Roy Kimberley Chairman

I'm booking the van and hotel now... I'll be there around 8 or 9pm tonight, unload and set up then hit the sack around midnight. Does the Premier Inn have a pool? Should I bring my trunks?

I'm still tossing the coin between the Travelodge which is very close to the venue and has a load of players staying in it to keep me company, and The Highwayman, which is very cheap, looks intriguing, has free wifi, and has an outdoor pool table, but is freakin' miles away! Plenty of time to decide yet! [ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2014-03-14 22:14 ]

What an absolutely fabulous event - the players must be the friendliest on any tour, the venue is really superb, even my hotel (The Highwayman) was a real bargain, and breakfast was epic - everything was ace! What more can I say - sooooo good to see everyone again after so long. Congratulations to all 19 players who attended, plus their friends and relatives, and also to the organisers and tournament director too, good to bump into Mike again - he makes a lot of the player's bespoke cue bridges and is really leading the world in this field, and thanks go to the tour's sponsors who make everything possible, I'll congratulate the winners when I've got the photos "processed" - this tour goes from strength to strength. The players nearly drank The Pro Shop dry - who knew 19 players could buy so much stuff, and best of all, a handy 10% of the shop's takings went back in the the tour's coffers which can be used to help with the running costs of the new venue or whatever - a great start to the season! All this and "FRANKIE" - brilliant, what more can I say, we even had the best weather of the year too... Perfection! I'm just knocking out some admin and shop work after the weekend, and then I'll upload some bonus photos of the players and trophies etc. [ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2014-03-17 12:38 ]

Great first event of the year and great facilities at the new BWPPA Academy at Stoke Mandeville. Was great to see some new faces too, and of course Big Dave and the Pro Shop!
Big well done to Tony for winning the Main Event and Craig Welsh for winning the Challenge. Already looking forward to Barnsley in May

Great weekend really pleased everyone liked the new academy and more importantly the potential it offers. Once again thanks to all the committee, friends and family who helped out leading up to and on the day of the event. Great as always to see Big D and thanks again for your kind donation. Whilst we had the big guy present it would have been wrong not to put him to use so he was on wall, banner, staple gun duty. Well done to Tony and Craig. C You in Barnsley.

I finally got time to edit the photos, they're on the front page now... Including a nice one of Danny Luton with the aforementioned sponsor poster in the background.
