As the topic states, here is a lovely Brunswick 9ft Centurion for sale. This is for sale due to the club owned by my good friend having to sell up. Very sad, but ever typical of the way it is these days. I can guarantee this is a top quality table (Brunswick, need I say more?) & is 2 years old. It will come with quality lighting, coin box, balls, cues, etc etc. It is starting at £500 although the reserve is set at more, feel free to email Ean Jones ( info@xsp.co.uk) to perhaps negotiate a cash deal. Thanks guys. ----------------- Every man dies, not every man truly lives...

Hey Bruno , How's it going buddy? I looked on evilbay on this auction and the table shown, is in fact a Gold Crown 4, not a Centurion, the Centurion, is the tablle that the corner pocket is shown of in the bottom left of the main picture because I the GC4 had the curved rail tops and the Centurion has the Flat Rail tops and also, the Centurion has the original style Brunswick Logo on the pocket plate, compared to the modern Logo that is used on the GC4 and most other Brusnwick models If it's the Centurion that's up for sale, then it would be best to take a picture of the other table or change the title to "Gold Crown 4" I thought that I would point this out to be able to give more accurate info on the auction, therefore increasing the chances of more bidders for you Willie P.S. Here's the 2 different models to confirm what I'm explaining The Centurion The Gold Crown 4 [ This message was edited by: TheWizard on 2006-11-28 21:40 ]

A couple more pictures would help too - see the wear of the cloth and the Brunswick logo and other details. Worth the extra pound or two if it helps you get a buyer.
Good luck

Willie, dont shoot the messenger mate.... expertfluke, I hear what you are saying mate, thats why any queries should be sent to the man via email, which I'm sure he'll supply all relevant pics and info. I know that over the last year, it has had very little use (probably a major factor in the club shutting up) Thanks for looking guys...

Willie, I guess he posted the wrong pic. He sold his Gold Crown IV earlier this year.
It is definitely a Centurion for sale. Mahogany colour with powder blue cloth.

Sure is Dave. Only open 2 years as well....
The club didnt really have a chance...when there's a Rileys in town (or in Aberdeen's case, 2 Riley's clubs), people tend to go there.

Rileys can afford the prime sites I guess! I never even managed to visit The Golden Break... Cracking table though, at a very tempting starting price - someone will get a bargain there!

Cracking table though, at a very tempting starting price - someone will get a bargain there! It was quite a unique club as it was housed within a social club in one of their function rooms. The social club (United Services Club) is being sold, so that forced the issue with the Golden Break. You are right Dave, someone will get a bargain here... I only wish I had the room for it myself.... ----------------- Every man dies, not every man truly lives...

Rackrunner, if you email the seller Ean Jones ( info@xsp.co.uk), he will give you all the info you need. Please bear in mind, it is situated in Aberdeen and looking at your location, it's a long way from you.

Hey buddy, anytime , I'm just glad that I'm able to help I'll check out the auction now also because the centurion is a very nice table to play, the same as any other Brunswick Table , but they had a Centurion at Cardiff, 2003 because it was 1 of 2 tables for the general public to play on and I like that model because of the flat rail tops instead of the curved tops Please give everyone up at your end, my very best Willie

!!! QUOTE !!! so does anybody know if it can be taken apart at all to be stored?? Speaking from 1st hand experience... The Centurion breaks down into the following parts: In my garage.3 slate beds (really, really heavy!) 2 legs - fairly large but manageable 1 centre piece - which joins the legs together. 1 large, un-breakdownable base frame. ie. 9x4 1/2ft. In the loft.4 rails. 2 x 4 1/2ft, 2 x 9ft. 6 pockets Having been unsuccessful in buying a house which is both close to the kids' school and with a room large enough for the table, Mrs. Suede has finally given the go-ahead to extend chez-nois. The architect's coming over tomorrow night. I cannae wait!! BS

I love playing on the Centurion. Stockport Replay has 6 or 7 (i think they're centurions anyway).
