Can't all be perfect.....

Not many robots in this game and its what makes
9 ball the best Gambling game on the planet.
Better than 10 ball where all the "Purists" waffle on
about "Not so much luck and the better player wins"
and all that twaddle.

Question......
Would you rather watch NASCAR going round and
round in absolutley mind numbing circles until the one
that stays awake long enough gets over the line first.
or Formula One with the unexpected twist throwing a
spanner in the works of even the best?

Answer.......
Formula One ever time..

Same with 9 ball over 10 ball every time as an
unpredictable test of character, heart as well as ability.
"Tweakfest" Absolutely!
Its what makes 9 ball the! exciting "Gambling" game it is!

Well Mark I have to give you credit for trying to defend the indefensible i.e. the notion that 9 ball is better than 10 ball (ok accept you said as a gambling game). And you even managed to liken it to the concept that Formula one is exciting lol. Wrong on both counts but argument well attempted :)

LOL

Yes but thats the point I am aiming at really Lee..
9 Ball is a better "Gambling" game because there are
a number of aspects to the game that you need the
temperament to deal with. If you can't fade the bad
rolls and let it get to you your game will suffer and you
beat yourself. Its a test of heart and charcter.

Wheras, over a long session of 10 ball the better
player "should" always win (Just as in snooker)
and to be honest it gets a bit boring after a while.
And thats not "Gambling" is it?
More like using a Two headed coin
(if you see my reasoning.)

Don't get me wrong....
I love to see great Pool and players performing well.
But I also like to see people have to overcome whatever
the game throws at them when money is at stake.
Watch them sweat it out, thats true gambling.

Years ago when I was very good at the game my
temperament was rock solid and I used to play for
huge amounts of money. Even now I don't "bottle" anything.
I simply miss because I'm old and not the player I used to be LOL
