Hey guys, its September when Matchroom Sport announces the Mosconi Cup teams, so do we have any idea what date in September that will be?

well the commentators on the Televised IPT event said,

"Raj will be back here in the States to represent Europe in the Mosconi Cup later on this year"

so theres one of the members. They won't drop Chamat because he is a Leg-End, so there's two!

They won't drop the Ice Man so there's three!

Ralf is world pool masters champ so theres 4!

Ronnie's in the lime light for pool right now so there's 5!

6th I aint got a clue about.. Van Den Berg, Hohmann, Ortmann, Feijen, Lely!

could be anybody but ill go for this as my guess:

Raj Hundal, Mika Immonen, Marcus Chamat, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Ralf Souqet and Neils Feijen!

If I was to be picking the team it would be a different story:

Mika Immonen
Marcus Chamat
Thorsten Hohmann
Nick Van Den Berg
Oliver Ortmann (captain)
Neils Feijen

First 5 are pretty certain IMO:

Chamat
O'Sullivan
Souquet
Van Den Berg
Ortmann

Not sure about sixth but I'd go for Feijen. If not it could be Hundal, Immonen or Engert.

This just proves how useless those commentators really were! Well, Wildman anyway!

This year's Mosconi is being held in Germany - it was Stateside last year!

Best wishes

also no mention of imran who in europe has been the most consistent british player, if anyone deserves a spot it should be him

this is the team:
souquet
hohmann
chamat
immonen
o'sullivan
majid

Ok guys I think Ive found out a EUROPEAN team member for 2006!!!!

RALF SOUQUET!

Ive been on his website (http://www.souquet.de)and in 'tour' it has the Mosconi Cup listed. So that would confirm he is in the team right?

Yes good point not after that great world masters win beating pagulayan in the final 8 - 7 .. and winning the european 9 ball championships winning 11 - 6 in the final .. but I cant see Ortmann not getting in either after a great year at the europeans winning the 8 ball and straight pool!!

What do you think?
