Details on the website.
We know there are some disappointed people who did not make it through the selection criteria for the Pro Division but that was always going to be the case when we had so many applicants for 32 spots. What it does mean is some great additions to the Challenge Division, which will be a tough and fascinating event in itself.
Congratulations to everyone who got a place on the tour, especially the 32 who achieved Pro status.
Please post any questions, thoughts or comments here.
Happy new year from the GB9 team.

Lee, there doesn't appear to be any players listed at the links on the website? Sorry, I might be too quick and the page hasn't been fully updated yet

Sorry, I might be too quick and the page hasn't been fully updated yet It's probably a local caching problem. I get that all the time with Firefox. Just hit Reload or Refresh.

I noticed that there are two players in the challenge division who have won BPPPA events, Davis Walsh and Bradley Parker. There are a few players in the pro section that have not achieved this or the equivalent achievement using your system so I just wondered how they ended up in the challenge section?

Right at the start we made the decision to allow players to choose in season 1 which division they wished to apply for. We said we would only intervene in exceptional circumstances (e.g. Imran, Daryl etc applied) and would otherwise allow players to choose. Both Bradley & David applied for Challenge. Of course I would expect them to be favourites for promotion so personally I only expect to see them in Challenge for 1 year but you never know.

Nice to see some 8 ball lads come into the fray in the challenge, I recognise plenty of names and am looking forward to the first event.

I think he was looking for a sponsor but did not find one in time, which is very sad because the tour really needs someone of his class. I just hope he does well on the Euro Tour and keeps practicing and maybe he'll enter the GB9 qualifiers at the end of the year. If he does go through the qualifiers he'll spend one season in the challenge division and I'd expect him to do very well in there. Same goes for Tony Drago, who's on the reserve list because he did not get in quick enough. It will be great to have someone of his stature in the event in 2009. There are good players all over the place in both divisions. The pro division looks massively good, anyone getting in there or qualifying for the second season should be very proud.
