I'm looking for a list of venues with minimum 16 tables. So far I've come up with the following (all Rileys):

Croydon, Frith Road
Inverness
Leicester, Deacon Street
Solihull
Stretford
Wavertree
Wealdstone
Wolverhampton

Can anyone provide details of anymore?

And also if anyone knows any of the above mentioned clubs let us know what they are like. Obviously I think we know more than enough about one of those named above LOL :) and the EPT has taken us to 3 of the others.

Worryingly, there seems to be a trend in many clubs where the number of American tables are being reduced in favour of english pool and snooker.

go on to rileys web site that tells u how many tables the clubs have got , not that many have 16 tables. you will find most of them have 14

Rileys scarbourough - 17 tables
Rileys Mosley (birmingham area) 16 tables
Rileys Gillingham (opens 30th july ) 16 tables

look at new clubs they tend to have more pool tables

What about Fast Eddie's in High Wycombe? :), I remember they were given a review in what was then, "Pot Black Magazine" (Now "Cuesport Magazine") and they I remember it being mentioned that they had 15/16 Sam K-Steel tables and probably still do :), there's the contact details, for those who wish to check it out :)

Fast Eddie's,
10, Corporation St, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire HP13 6TQ
Tel: 01494 444228

Hustlers in Bolton has/had 17 tables, as I remember playing my first Pro 9 tour event there about 8/9 years ago :)

Hustlers,
32 Bridge Street
Bolton
Bolton BL1
Tel: 01204 392393

I hope that this is of some help at least :)

Willie

Guildford has 14, plus a car park connected to the club.

Setup is nice with the seating area away from the playing area, but the current standard of tables is poor.

I have looked at Riley's website but you have to view each club individually and I just don't have the time to check every one. Also, there is no guarantee the information is up to date (Stafford for example shows 15 tables when they have 12).

The 16 table minimum is an absolute requirement for what we have in mind so even my beloved Barnsley club (15 tables) is unsuitable.

Keep the suggestions coming guys.

Riggers, I'll have a look on the Rileys website, and see what I can find, and any clubs that have 16 or more tables, I'll copy and paste the details in a list and e-mail them to you :)

Now that's service for you! Thanks Willie!

We still need people to back up Willie's findings though so let me know about any clubs near you.

Riggers,

Rileys Solihull is a nice club, decent size lounge area as well as plenty of tables which is useful as well for a big event

Marco's in Edinburgh has a total of around 30 9footers (mostly sams) but their condition is well below average.
20 of them in the same room in two rows and another 10 in a smaller one.
It would be the best american pooll venue in the UK if it was taken care of but it's far from it . :-(

30 tables, now that's more like it, perhaps if there were the possibility of tournaments being held there, perhaps the management would put more effort into looking after the tables alot better :), it is certainly worth while contacting the club and see what happens :)

Riggers, I can't remember but I think Suzi Q (Rileys) in Lincoln might have 16+.

When I was about to leave Lincoln they were refurbishing it and taking out a load of snooker tables upstairs to put American pool tables in.

I can't recommend the city, but that was a decent club and ran regular tournaments whilst I was there.

Willie Fast Eddies still has the K Steels and is an OK club to go to for a bit of a hit round.

Marco's in Edinburgh is about to be knocked to the ground and rebuilt from scratch to incorporate around 50 students flats above the pool hall and bar.

Give it a year or so and it should be amazing when rebuilt with 30 brand new tables!

Cool :), I wasn't sure if the club was still in operation or not, as it was about 8 years ago, that I remember it getting the review, but it's good to hear that it's still up and running :)
