Last week 32 players battled it out at the 2025 Open Series Multi-Ball Winter Open - the last chance to qualify for the Masters Final on Sunday 7th December.
One of the strongest fields we've had at our events with some monster groups which made it impossible to pick a winner for the event.
The group stages saw some fantastic matches, particularly in Imran's group as he was joined by Rico Diks and newcomers Oliver Ruuger and Alan Wong. 3 x 700+ fargo rated players in a single group! And it was tight between the 3; Oliver sneaking a win off Imran, the Summer Open champion, with both qualifying into the knockout stages, sadly sending Rico home early in a shock result.
But it was the first round of the knockout stages that threw the first big shake-up as the young Ukrainian superstar Kostiantyn Ivanov shows he means business taking Imran hill-hill. Final rack of the match, Imran breaks off and scratches and Kostya calmly runs out the rack to claim a massive win.
"Read More..." for the details.

Fast forward to the semi-finals where Phil Wildman goes from strength to strength throughout the day and puts in a solid performance to take out Mark Capito whilst the other semi-final Mark Foster and Joe Prince have a very tense match up going hill-hill. Foster gets the first chance to claim the win but a mistake at a crucial time leaves him hooked which hands Prince a place in the final.
Prince, who is making a big impact at Ultimate Pool USA winning multiple 8-ball comps this year, wins the lag against Phil and chooses 8-ball. Massive advantage to Joe. Despite Phil being out of his comfort zone with 8-ball, he puts up an impressive battle with both players running racks beautifully. But it wasn't quite enough as Phil makes a small mistake at 6-4 and a chance was all Joe needed to seal the win, taking home the trophy, £500 prize money and a place at the Masters Final 2025!
