Qatar World Cup 10 Ball 2024
The Last 64 stage is now underway in the Qatar World Cup 10 Ball tournament at the Ezdan Palace Hotel, Doha, Qatar. The qualifying rounds began whittling the field down on Wednesday 4 December, and the final is scheduled to be played on Saturday 14 December.
A modest number of Europeans have made the trip including the UK's Darren Appleton, Alex Kazakis (Greece), Niels Feijen (Netherlands), Mario He (Belgium), and Dennis Grabe (Estonia) among others.
However, the shock news is that pre-tournament favourite Joshua Filler of Germany has been eliminated from contention, not even making it into the Last 64 after suffering two consecutive losses in the double-elimination qualifying rounds.
