For the first time ever, I'm hoping to receive photos from the New Billiard Cup in Italy courtesy of some new Swiss friends who are on their way to Veneto now. There have been some massive names eliminated already. Croatia's Karlo Dalmatin hasn't made the grade after losing at the last post to Sandor Tot. EPBF EuroTour champion Bruno Muratore has also been eliminated from the event after only playing two matches, both hill-hill, but lost both 6-7. Among the famous names who HAVE made the grade to qualify for the Last 32 are Goran Mladenovic, David Pascasi, Fabio Petroni, Ivica Putnik, Georgio Margola, Vittorio De Falco, and Albin Ouschan. Chris Melling and Karl Boyes are in opposite sides of Group 6 and will play tomorrow morning - Chris at 9am, and Karl at 10.30. I've been promised results and photos by the organisers - but I've still not received anything at all since the Last 32 list unfortunately.

Update: The winner is Chris Melling, he was in the final with Dmitri Jungo, third place were Huidji See and Luca Nicoletti.

If and when I get the full results and any photos I'll spam the good news here and on FaceBook etc.
It's a bit frustrating, but the organiser (and my contact for stats and photos) happened to get to the semi-finals and is probably fit to drop at the moment.
