this tourny seems a bit odd to me. So far it indicates imran has lost 9-0 and 9-0 and he is still in it??? is there something im missing?

Looking at the photos from the front page the venue looks very nice. How on earth do the Swiss manage to add 20,000 Euros to the prize fund and host a tournament with brand new tables with an entry fee of just 75 Euros? Is this another country with a huge federation that subsidises these events?
BTW good luck to all the brits who've made the trip.

Yeah, I spotted that. He's in Group 2 and Group 5. I think perhaps because the numbers were lower than expected they have possibly made some extra matches or something... Riggers will be able to explain, but even simple Double Elim confuses me.

@ Riggers Apparently there was a bit of a hoohaa as the prize fund was reduced from €40,000 added to €20,000 added shortly before the event as numbers were lower than expected (lots of events at the moment) but they also reduced the entry fee from €150 to €75 too. I know it's a bit of a sensitive subject, resulting in one player/reporter being blocked from the event after writing about it in a disparaging fashion, so I'm keeping mum. Players are boycotting it after the EPBF, banned any European players from playing in the Predator 10 Ball.... its a disgrace that players that are sponsored by Predator arent allowed to support their sponsors!!!!
Getting sponsorship is hard enough.......

thats such a crazy reason... never mind, if they carry on they will only serve to damage their own reputation. Predetor will still keep producing the best in the sport

I know it's a bit of a sensitive subject, resulting in one player/reporter being blocked from the event after writing about it in a disparaging fashion, so I'm keeping mum. Dave, Your calculation is not accurate. I 've post this at another place : "Initially the event was 256 players, 50'000 euros prize-money, with 150 euros entry fee. With a full field it makes 11'600 euros added money. Only 80 players enter the tournament and the promoter decided LAST WEEK and WITHOUT good communication to break the prize money by a half. So it is now 25'000 euros... The first place keeping the same amount of money. Then he decided to also break the enter fee by a half to reach 75 euros only (to make it straight). Now, there is 80 players at 75 euros fees and 25'000 euros prize-money, that makes 19'000 euros added money. Conclusion, the guy is assuming his mistakes..." Hope it helps

So the players are complaining that there's only 19000 Euro's added? Amazing I was just wondering how they do it because, whilst we have some very generous sponsors that the Tour could not do without, we find it so hard to secure any kind of cash sponsorship.

heres a theory, the live stream is used to get the sponsors to part with cash, as their product is now viewed by more people?

There is no other theory than the promoter has failed to promote his event. He is assuming his mistakes now by adding a lot of money right out of his own pockets.
