Chris runs out to a 7-8 combo into the corner pocket, it needs to be made as it's not straight and not hanging either as it's a foot from the pocket, but there's not too much doubt that he's gonna make it either... Good shot, he nails it for the match.

lots of missed opportunitys through the match........................it looked to me the race was too long for daz to keep concentration...........................................never mind every dog has there day

yeh unlucky daz take away missed balls the table was not kind to daz on the breaks so done well really to say chris was breaking well must be frustrating though he had so many dry breaks or no shot after break was unreal yes think races to 100 are to long must be hard to try and keep focused all that time

Gutted for Daz as he's clearly a lot better than Bartram IMO.
I watched a fair bit of this match up and saw a lot of balls missed and not much happening for Daz on the break. Re: the balls missed, I can't begin to understand how it must feel to play a marathon match like that with that sort of money on the line - I'm sure I'd have missed a whole load more than these guys did, especially with my ability lol.

When the score was 91-89, Daz was making a decent comeback but I'm sure he miscued on the 9 whilst playing bottom left. Sure Daz will correct me if I'm wrong but I think that was a huge turning point. If Daz had got to within 1 rack at that stage things could have been very different.

Anyhow, bad luck Daz, well done Chris and thanks to TAR and both players for the entertaining match.

sorry for you guys who at to watch it and bet on it and lost money..

race to 100 i will never play again last year against hatch i just thought i played bad and that was 3 days so wasnt too bad but still its a marathon and tough.. this one over 2 days really affected me today i played OK first day but really should have killed the game off..

last night at the start i felt ok but made silly mistakes and break was killing me it was very inconsistant couldnt get any rythm.. and when did make a ball never got a shot and when come dry left him straight in and vice verser with his breaks.. but at end of the day i still had chances and missed alot of easy balls at crucial times my body and emotions were up and own and at one stage yesterday for about 5 hours i cant remember a thing about the match from around 65-65 - 85-80 was too much for me and the break was demolarising me only at the end the last hour i started to hit them good but too late .. but at 90-89 i missed great chance to get back level then next rack misscued on the 9ball that killed the game as he run the next 2-3


its a really big low for me as i pride myself on concentration and not missing easy balls under pressure but this year i missed so many and its definatly affected my confidence in past few months and when showed signs of form its only been in glimpses. and only reason really i was so close to chris in this match was my safety play was far superier to his but my potting and break let me down.. same last year against hatch.. but this was a easier match up than hatch so it hurts alot more.

but ive done 2 of these race to 100s i will never do it again i find them boring not enjoyable .. i prefer head set or sets or one race to 25-30 am more suited to that style.. ive given better players than chris bigger handicaps in philippines and america and beat them and beat chris easy in 2 head sets giving him the 9ball at 10ball and the 8ball at 9ball..

so yeah its a big big low and today feel like poopie just completly drained and feel embarassed with myself that people watched it and worser still bet on me..am sure it was frustrating for you guys too..

and sorry for people who lost money on me.

i was supposed to fly home early in morning after match but i just couldnt get on the flight as i couldnt leave the bar lol.. so ill be staying another week chill maybe play a bit and go to a tournament in l.a at weekend.

ps also thanks to tar for all there work with pool they do amazing job.

Chin up mate all the great players go thought these periods in the game and the nature of the the sport itself makes it almost impossible to dominate.

You had such a good season last year it was always going to be tuff this year and there is so much exspectation on you particularly in Britain it must be mentally hard. Were not even half way though the year and cream always comes to the top. Still got a lot of big events coming up so keep the belief and I'm sure success will follow.

all true champions get down on themselves when they are under par....i do it, but maybe a little different to you. Bottom line is that its a common denominator!

You have not been playing your best game for a few months now, but all champs come back from lulls.
Its wierd, cos similar to you, after i won World 9ball Championships i had a real bed lull, but for around a year, but i have bounced back.

Players like you and me have done this (bounced back) all our careers....cos thats what we do....thats why we are at the top of the pool trees, and we have been for many years while others have come and gone mate.

If i was been totally honest on this match up, i felt that the long race suited Bartrem more than you, mainly cos he has played a lot more of them than you....like you said, if the race is to 30 ish, you are a big fav in my eyes.

Never mind mate, keep chin up, and have a few beers for me.

agree with the above posts ability wise u a better player than chris but the break and race to a 100 seemed to take a lot out of u

and if last years form is anything to go about after losing to dennis u went on to become world masters champion of the world am very confident u gonna do the something similar again

Chris Bartham looked like he could play to 200 no sweat. He keeps good focus. Guys got a lot of heart thats for sure.

yeah agree potter,bartram just looks like he was knockin about in a pub,from the view we were gettin it looked like nothing bothered him,bartrams break was better than darrens and the race to 100 siuted chris more,nevermind its all done with now,look forward to the next money game where ever it is,am sure daz will bounce back n take another challenge on somewhere but summat that suits him more

yeh he solid player and he loves the grinding long day match he been known to play 2 days straight..

i thought i could keep focus but couldnt

if we was playing sets to 21 best of 5s am sure i would have had better focus but that long marathon with no winning line in sight its brutal really..

but bad as played and broke on the last day i still had chances so only myself to blame
