Can any Internet Explorer users let me know if they have had any trouble viewing the Stan James advertising banners on Pro9 recently? You know the ones with the 9-Ball and 8-Ball on them down the right and left-hand-side of the web site.

It seems fine in FireFox, but I've downloaded IE7 (and I've been regretting it ever since) they seem to appear less reliable than usual. I'm wondering whether it's IE7 or my computer.

Thanks in advance.

There is obviously something strange going on with these banners.
I have IE7 on my PC and love it, I particularly like the tabbed browsing, it is so much more convenient.
However, the Stan James banner loads on the right side but not on the left.
I also have Firefox installed on this computer and this morning could not get either Stan James banner to load the first time so I tried again and could only get the one on the right hand side.
On my laptop I have IE6 and normally both banners load correctly although this morning I did have to click on the little red x on the banner on the left hand side to get it to load.
I'm no expert but it would seem to me that the problem is not in Internet Explorer nor in Firefox but rather in your computer or the server.

Hi Dave,

I'm actually experiencing differnt problems. I'm using a works PC (which is unrestricted) but when i try to open your website 8 out of 10 all i'll get is the blue background and the top advertising banner. This has only started happening recently?

Hi Dave

I am at work on unrestricted PC, all banners load just fine in Firefox and Opera. In IE7 I get "2 items remaining downloading picture banners." etc etc

but on refreshing the page I SOMETIMES get one of the Stan James banners load ok but not the other, seems to be random as to which one appears.

Also, if I have neither banner showing and then follow a link e.g. a forum thread link and then use the IE7 back arrow, SOMETIMES one or both of the banners will then load!!

If you were not already confused.....

For troubleshooting you might try adding the site hosting the banners as a trusted site and see if that makes a difference.
