HAPPY BIRTHDAY - DOUG GORDON
The man who originally coined the name, "Pro9" and founder of the first 9 Ball Tour in the UK.




My apologies to everyone else who HASN'T had their special day celebrated in this way by me, but if you have 5000 "friends" on Facebook like me, then over 10 of them have a birthday every single day of the year - and I wouldn't get anything else done... But Doug is the one person for whom I would make this exception, so...

I am not usually one to be lost for words. But I just discovered this Big Dave greeting 48 hours late. But I am honoured to be NOT One In A Million but One in 5000 is good enough for me.
Most people probably thought that I was dead. But some days it is hard to tell the difference. Merry Christmas to all you Pro9 supporter and I hope that you continue to support BDK, probably the most pool passionate man in the UK.
Some of the funniest moments in my life have been spent in the company of this man.
He had a style of his own especially with women. But it didn't include subtlety. Some classics:
Can I take you out to dinner tonight. I've washed all my crevices.
About ten of us were sat in an Alicante restaurant when Oliver Ortmann asked him - what is your best chat up line with women. Quick as a flash he replied - How much love?
He asked me to join his quiz team and I asked him who I was to replace in his six person team. Oh you'll be taking the place of ****'s wife. She only knows about makeup. If there aren't any questions about makeup then she is f****d.
