You may, or may not be aware, but I've been tackling some issues with hugely excessive bandwidth usage recently... This is a malicious DDOS and/or "brute force" hack coming from a well documented nasty server located in the USA. Pro9's server hosts have blocked the majority of their IP's from visiting now, but I'm still wondering if the server's performance is suffering at all, this is where YOU can help. Let me know how your surfing experience is at Pro9 compared to other websites on the internet - I'm prepared to hear that Pro9 is slower, simply because we have such a "heavy" front page with lots of big photos, but I think they look good for our readers and are good value for our sponsors, and therefore worth the trade-off in page response time. So, to reiterate, is Pro9 performing the same as usual for you this week? Have you experienced any moments where the website has "stalled" and simply won't resolve, and then it appears again a couple of minutes later? Do you get this with other websites? Hi saw something about this or similer on the news the other day but involving massive companies, where people are sending so much traffic that the website cant handle it and shuts down, the people responsible are then demanding large amount of money otherwise they wont stop doing it. I havent noticed it on any other websites, although i have seen it happened alot on pro9 [ This message was edited by: wildman147 on 2013-04-04 10:58 ]

Yeah, I think we're just getting caught in the crossfire... No one is targeting Pro9 as we're far too small to be of any value - but it HAS dramatically impacted the price I'm paying for bandwidth which increased massively, but now seems to be back down to manageable/affordable levels.

PRO9 has established an outstanding reputation as Europes No.1 source for information on American Pool in the UK and Europe.
Upcoming tournament details, prompt match reporting, exclusive images by talented photographers, superb articles by expert pundits, active pool related forums, player profiles and a very sophisticated membership - basically, an incredible information resource for the American style game in Europe.
Since it launched, PRO9 has become compulsory reading, not just for the UKs pool players, but to hundreds and thousands of pool obsessives from around the world every single day.
PRO9s members range from professional pool players, cue-sports enthusiasts, club managers, tournament organisers, pool fans and aficionados, as well as various "movers and shakers" in the cue-sports field, including entrepreneurs in the wholesale and retail sector, as well as magazine editors and television sports promoters.
Growing more and more popular every single year, PRO9 is the best placed vehicle for the promotion of your pool club, billiards brand, associated products, services and opportunities in the truly massive pan-European billiard market.
