Mr Big Dave,

I think i deserve one of these as i have many colourfull spinny things, but aghast to my sheer horror - not a green one!

i have also emailed santa (gotta keep up with the times you know!) but would'nt be too gutted if i lost out to an orphan story from mr hill!. that was class.

anyway as you can see my compasion knows no limits, and im sure i can arrange a cup of coffee and a bacon butty if i win it the next time we meet -Ahem (cough)!

Yours in sport

Big T

Just found this thread...for some reason your email got sent to spam....fer shame fer shame...you used a word that I've got filtered...Probably 'FREE PRIZE GIVEAWAY'

Anyways....Dave I need one of these because I'm in a town of about 70k We've got one club here with 7 tables, 5-9's and 2-8's.

They're red...not so bad since before when they were green they looked like driving ranges. Although, they used a bicycle tool to put them back together. The rails aren't even tightened down on a couple of them. And get this... they cost 4.50PLN(at todays exchange rate) 1.06£ per game.

We've got a couple of other little pubs here, one with 1 table and one with 2 tables. Both of them cost 2PLN per game(0.47£). Not so bad except that they have balls that should be on a golf course and there are a lot of 'twins' on the table. It appears some of their children ran away and they've replaced them with clones of some of the dummer ones. I'd have ran away also if I had been pushed around with a broken plastic rack and hit over and over again with plastic cork screw ins or fat plastic push ons. How embarrassing.

Needless to say, I happen to be the only guy in town with his own cue. And needless to say, there is no place within 100km to have any work done on it.

It sure would be nice to have this little baby to take care of my cue so when I do travel to play I have the properly maintained equipment.

Sympathy awaits...

Cheers...

Pocket

PS. Pray for my little town... we need a real billiard hall. Or at least a place that actually cares about their equipment.

Hi Dave,

I'd like a pocket lathe for a few reasons - of course pick your favourite:

- We need one in the southern half of the UK so we don't feel left out in St Albans - pout pout hehe

- I usually end up re-tipping cues for our league players

- It'd be nice to get one before Larry even knows what they are :)

- I like green

:)

I wouldn't mind one - purely because I'm a pool gadget geek! :-D

I'd also be interested in seeing how much easier it made retipping and maintaining tips.

Best wishes

We've had three winners already of course, ste1979 was given a consolation prize of a NiveCraft Pocket Spinner as he was so close with that guess, The_Mole was the first to correctly identify the prize as a NiveCraft Pocket Lathe, and solartje won one too for his "wackiest guess", but there is still one more chance to win, with our Euro Millions lottery competition.

I was going to wait until all the spots had been taken, but as people have started buying them in The Pro Shop already I will run it on Friday...

So good luck...

You could win the Euro Millions £100,000,000-00 JackPot (yes it's one hundred million pounds this Friday) but I know you'll secretly be wishing to pluck the bonus ball number so you get a NiveCraft Pocket Lathe - they really are that good!

p.s. There are about 14 numbers still available but if they're not taken and one wins, then I will be declared the winner - well, the competition was MY idea and I want one too!

If I win £100,000,000 on Euro Millions this week, I'll donate £1,000,000 to GB9 and the Pro Shop!

I got my prize - Thanks Dave.

Works really well for rounding your tip. The tip file you get with the lathe works fantastic and very accurate.

Thanks again.
