Rob Green trained for 6 hours today and had 4000 shots fired at him without conceding a single goal... Tomorrow, He and Heskey will train with the rest of the squad.

I feel sorry for Green, one mistake and he is castigated, what about some blame for the strikers who are incapable of scoring goals, with out goals they will win nothing.

Not one person here is castigating him here, these are all jokes that do the rounds when stuff like this happens. No one is calling for his head, it's happened before, it'll happen again, it even already happened in another World Cup match. Everyone knows that this is a goalkeeper's lot, and every other goalkeeper, and a lot of us too, can sympathise with him, but you can't stop the jokes, it's a natural defence system that helps us deal with it. p.s. Have you heard about the new Robert Green condoms? They're extra slippy and you're guaranteed not to catch anything. [ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2010-06-16 10:26 ]

1.5million viewers were furious after missing the England goal. That's nothing - Robert Green missed the American goal and he was there! Best wishes thecardman

LOL, no one ever knows what destroyer's talking about - even him!
Anyway, Cardman, never mind the fantastic USA goal (let's see that again...) - I missed the England one cos I was in the loo. I'm going to spend the entire 90 minutes for their other 2 games in the loo as well and hopefully I don't miss another one =)
And what about the noise, you send 2 quid a month to feed a starving African and all they do is buy a bloody trumpet!
Think I'll get one though and play it in the pub to create the real life atmosphere... as if I wasn't annoying enough!
