Yea it is Dave, and it is the biggest growing sport in the world!!
Everyone thinks it brutal but its Boxing where theres more injuries, every shot is aimed at the head whereas mma is all over body

Yeah, I did a live TV graphics job for boxing once, the audience were a right rough bunch, they made the doormen look small, and the atmosphere was pretty tense with all these hard types and wannabe's strutting around.
I made a bit of a chicken-up on the job, but I didn't mind too much as I resolved not to do boxing any more anyway, I just didn't like getting that close to the live event. Don't get me wrong, I love watching the big fights on the TV.
Anyway, I was offered a cage fight job just the other day, and despite having a good home for the cash I didn't need to think too long before turning it down.

That is a term used by naive people who think that all that happens is two big blokes knocking the heck out of each other with absolutely no rules involved I really enjoy MMA Used to love watching Pride FC from Japan, those show intros were absolutely immense! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNT8qYSrH44----------------- Chris @ Pro9

Its up to that person if they get hurt though isnt it? If you dont want to get hurt dont do it!! Yea i loved pride too Buckster, Wanderlei Silva,Dan Henderson,Mirco cro cop,and then the comedy act of Bob "The beast" Sapp!! Such a shame it folded, the music they used to play after a victory made me laugh everytime i think!! Boxing is punching,Katate is Kicking,Ju-Jitsu is ground etc so combine the sports up and you have mixed martial arts where you can do all three. What do you think of Kimbo on the ultimate fighter? Got a link that may interest you, http://fiveouncesofpain.com/2009/09/29/kimbo-slice-confirms-ufc-debut-in-december-hints-at-ufc-107/Is he talking about TUF finale on December 5th or UFC 107 on December 12th cos he wont be fighting in both!! Dana White told Kimbo that he would crate an UF heavyweight show so he could prove himself, so odds on he would appear again somehow as he is the show.
For those interested TUF 2005 featuring the likes of Stephen Bonnar, Forrest Griffin, Chris Leben and Diego Sanchez is showing on ESPN Classic.Coaches are Randy Couture and Chick Liddell.
