Hi All, As many of you will be aware Rileys managment have brought in a policy that air conditioning is not to be turned on in any of their clubs. This is despite the fact they the clubs are still advertised as "air conditioned" This is particularly a problem in my home club which get's really hot in the winter let alone when the sun in shining! I have emailed them regarding this but as yet they have failed to reply. If you feel the same please send an email to: enquiries@rileysltd.com----------------- Andy Warden, GB9 - Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor √ [ This message was edited by: cueman on 2009-06-24 13:04 ]

Do you really think people are going to post their house number and postcode on here? for the whole world to see?
I strongly suggest using an online petition website.

Hi Andy
I think that if you have a grievance with your local club then a public forum is not the place to voice your concerns.
The decision to operate or not operate the AC is a business decision of a commercial entity. Would you like it if somebody said to you - do not use certain photo papers. You decide what is good for your business based on the financial constraints under which you operate.
Rileys are simply doing the same.

I agree Doug! But they also shouldn't be advertising that the clubs are air conditioned.

ok, ok I give up. I have changed my original post to ask people to email Rileys if they feel the same. I am not telling them how to run their business, I am voicing my objection that the club that I spend my money in, and that is advertised as "air conditioned", is not "air conditioned, and is therefore an uncomfortable environment. ----------------- Andy Warden, GB9 - Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor √ [ This message was edited by: cueman on 2009-06-23 16:55 ]

This is not an issue to bring up with your local club as the instruction has come from HQ and so it is them directly you need to complain to.
Send them an email Roger, address on the first post...

I think if its on their website they shouldn't be allowed to leave it off on warm days its false advertising.
Seems a bad decision as it might encourage people who want a break from the heat might think great I will go for a game of pool and a nice drink to cool down.
As it is I think most will avoid the place as it would be very uncomfortable on days were its very warm.

I know there was a club in Cardiff that got unbearably hot in the summer because it had suntrap windows that didn't open, and the members petitioned for Air Conditioning to be installed, and the company DID install it!
Perhaps clubs like that could apply for a local excemption?
