Would love to see Rory or Sergio win it but it's Westwood I'll be cheering on.

7/4 for Tiger? lol!!!
For a field of 155 players, that is ridiculous.... Not doubting he'll probably win, but who would find those odds good value before they have even tee'd off....
How about last year's runner up? Rocco is a massive 200-1, could be worth a couple of notes.
Stenson at 50-1 is cracking value

Steve Stricker for me, the course will play to his strengths.

I have done Villegas, Curtis, JM Singh, J Mallinger, J Merrick and Ryan Moore. All each way, rather have a few players to watch, Casey could be danger though.

OK here's what I have on.
Stenson (66-1) Poulter (80-1) McDowell (100-1) Zach Johnson (66-1) Mike Wier (80-1)
All with Ladbrokes, seem to have the best prices, but e/w is 1,2,3,4,5 whereas some of the others are 1,2,3,4,5,6

They're havin' a laff with Tiger at 7/4. He might come out of some of that rough asking where Dr Livingstone's gone. Stenson lives here in Dubai, his mind's not straight at mo......very little chance, will probably miss cut, wouldn't take 660/1 never mind 66/1.....then again capable of winning in a canter if it suddenly clicked again but not likely Need someone who hits fairways, good at getting up and down from inside 50 yds (there'll be lots and lots of that) and a solid putter cos theyll be quicker than Augusta. Man on form meeting that criteria at sensible odds (about 50's or better) is David Toms....and Furyk can never be written off in tournaments on tough courses, especially US Opens. Little Tim Clark though a short hitter plays tough courses really well and is as tenacious as they come, won't give up like some will. By the way, while I'm on and the topic is golf......work schedules permitting, I will be in Uk to play in British Seniors Amateur Open at Prestwick 5,6 and 7 August (probably also play practice rounds 4 and 5 August as have never played the course). Looking for a caddie who knows the course well, can watch a swing like an octopus falling out of a tree without laughing and works cheap. Might as well ask the pool community first and keep the money in the family. Will be posting same request on the 8 ball sites. If anyone wants to make an offer of a daily rate to do all 4 rounds including practice, 5 rounds in the unlikely event I make the cut after the first two rounds, trolleys are allowed, please PM me, thanks. On 2009-06-18 08:08 , bruno Wrote:!!! QUOTE !!! Just noticed another bet on Ladbrokes....5/2 for anyone else than Tiger to win. That sounds a better value bet! That would be nice Bruno....in fact it would be absolutely brilliant If you can find that bet.....sell everything you own right now, borrow every last penny you can for a week... put 55% of what you raise on Tiger at 7/4 and the other 45% on "anyone else to win"....then no matter who wins you will make a profit of at least 50% of your total outlay..... Example 55k on tiger at 7/4 would return 151.25k and 45k on "anyone else" at 5/2 would return 157.5k. Your outlay is only 100k, profit is well over 50k no matter who wins. If this bet were available you could get killed in the rush lol. Which is of course why whatever bet it is that you are looking at on Ladbrokes or any other bookie site can't possibly actually be 5/2 for "anyone" other than Tiger to win. Suggest you check what it actually is before lumping on because it can't be what you think it is.

Sorry mate, post was there when I started to draft the reply which was only posted to perhaps help you avoid backing something that wasn't what you thought it was.

Yes I read it again and just assumed it was anyone else, being anyone else than Tiger....how naive! Turns out that is anyone else than stated on this list T Woods G Ogilvy P Mickelson J Furyk P Casey R Goosen S Garcia S Stricker C Villegas E Els P Harrington S O'Hair H Stenson L Donald R McIlroy V Singh A Cabrera D Toms H Mahan K Perry Z Johnson Anthony Kim B Gay I Poulter M Weir N Watney R Allenby R Sabbatini T Clark B Curtis D Johnson G McDowell J Leonard L Westwood R Fisher S Cink B Crane J M Singh J Rose K J Choi So basically 5/2 for a winner priced at 200-1 or above... How go to the bathroom is that? Yes rain has spoiled it for today...had the Sky HD all ready to sit and watch, but now I'm watching last year's highlights... Better not rain tomorrow...I have a golf outing!

Did anyone have Glover on then?
If so, you must be pretty well off now!
What an exciting end to the tournament!
