Topic: Posting a picture

I would like to know how to post a picture on the forum that is already saved on my computer.

Any help is appreciated.

Go to www.imageshack.us to upload the picture, then copy the link it gives you and post it!

^^^ I just tried that and it wasn't easy - probably because I don't have an account and ImageShack like you to use thumbnails (tiny link pics which are rubbish IMO) and the Pro9 forums don't support them... Anyway, here's a step-by-step guide wot I wrote a while ago!

HOW TO ADD A PHOTO IN THE FORUMS

Not too difficult when you know how..

First load your photo at www.photobucket.com (get a free account) then take the Direct Link code they give you - it might look like this...

Click the Image button when posting in the forums and paste the direct link code when prompted. That will give you something that looks like this:



And when posted it looks like this...



Photos should be no more than 500 pixels wide please!

(If that's too much hassle, Pro9'ers can email them to me and I'll often upload them if I think they are worthy!)

You don't need an account with Imageshack and it doesn't just give a thumbnail option, it has a link to the full image.

But forget that, just listen to Dave

I've never managed to work out ImageShack... Too thick I guess!

imageshak could slurp a golf ball through a garden hose photobucket is the best (Just my personal preference)
