B.T.W good luck to Riggers if he decides to take further action, i'm sure the majority/all of this site will be behind you 100%
I couldn't even be bothered to register and make a post of my own as there's no point in being involved with a site like that one.
If you ask me it looks very amateurish and cluttered anyway.

no surprise in any of this . . . you got a taste of the way PP nick hammond treats everyone . . . legal action is a waste of time effort and money. . . want to hurt him . . . hurt his pocket cut and paste some of his most offensive posts, any that involve racism or prejudice, and any that show rileys in a bad light . . . find the email addresses of as many senior people at rileys as you can email them your findings and express your distaste for rileys financial support of such a negative and openly despicable character . . . they may cut their advertising the advertising was only placed because nick has a cosy relationship with a new rileys employee who chucked some money uk8balls way . . . when rileys really look into it they will see they are being fleeced uk8ball loses a big part of its monthly revenue . . . nick hammond loses as he is the owner . . . the good guys win [ This message was edited by: headstring on 2008-04-21 10:44 ]

Hi guys, speaking as someone else who Prof hates with a passion, I have found the best way to deal with him is to ignore him. Don't use his website and don't give him the satisfaction of having the chance to ban you either. He hates that. He will never ban me, because I will never sign up to anything he is involved in.
He is a very little man in a big world and when all is said and done, has very little input into the world of cue sports nowadays. People have seen this sort of stuff happening for a long time and nobody takes him seriously anymore.
Rigger, you're wasting good time after bad by trying any legal solutions imo, as you will not find easy solutions and to be fair it sounds like you have wasted enough time on him already.
All he is interested in is hits for his site and by continuing to discuss him, it will only make more people go to his site to read what has been said. You are doing exactly what he wants you to do.
We built a new 8ball website roughly a year ago as a direct result of one of our site team having a run in with him. It has grown into something that none of us thought possible and we get all manner of visitors, many of which can't stand the 'other' site either.
I don't want to advertise it on this site, as I'm not sure BigDave would like it (although it doesn't compete against this site), so if you wish to know the link, please PM me and I will send it on.
What I do know, is that there are many more 8 ball sites popping up all over the place and they are not a part of 'his community' as they do not agree with his actions. If we all got together and created our own community, which would be based on mutual respect, not on ego, it wouldn't be long before he disappears completely.
Good luck with this site, it looks very slick and very informative. Well done.

OneTrueWarrior, Thanks for your post and welcome to Pro9. I guess you are talking about the surrey pool site? I did hear the story thanks and it really makes your jaw drop that someone can behave as badly as that.

The Uk8ball company has been sold recently and the new owners have just sent out this email to all of their members... could it simply be a case of too little too late...?
Dear users,
Thank you for your patience.
By now I'm sure you're aware, UK8 Ball has been sold to myself (Michael Steele) and my business partner Morray Dolan.
As you can see the site has become a little tired and our first thought is to refresh it and bring it up to date, our approach to achieve this will be to listen to what the members want, and if it's possible we will try to incorporate it, which is why one of the first things we will do, is create a suggestion box.
Our goal for the future is to become the premier cue-sport social networking site and to embrace the followers of all the different cue-sports.
Although we are purveyors of 'world rules pool', our ambition is for the site to be as impartial as possible, up to now that hasn't always been the case, but moving forward and for the good of the site, it is important to let anyone and everyone have an equal say, after all the site is for your use.
To help us gradually integrate into the community we felt it was only right if we continued with the 'friendly faces' of Doyley and Juan-King as our webmasters, as they have a great insight into the inner workings of the site and a feel for the community and the personalities.
As for Nik Hammond and Ken Marshall, I want to thank them for all their work that made this site into the premier pool community site that it is today. Morray and I have great plans for the site, plans that are aimed at increasing the user's interest and rewards for being part of our community.
Our goals will hopefully take the site and cue-sport in general to new and exciting levels, including opening a new international portal that will enable us to communicate with our cue-sport friends worldwide.
Once again, I ask you to be patient, as it will take a little time to implement the changes, but the first of these will not be far away.
Thank you
Michael & Morray

Even under the new regime their is some very strange policies in place. For instance, Daz posted a link to the live stream and they deleted it. I wouldn't mind if they had their own live stream but they don't. Big Dave has the Pro Tube but still allows links to The Action Report, in fact he helped promote teh service for them. Complete cretins if you ask me. There's no way I'm posting on a site where you are always in fear of your post being deleted because of some stupid rule.
