hi everyone. just posting to say what a great time i had in my first ever euro event. i narrowly missed out on qualifying for the final day, had to concede to roman hybler because my head wasn't straight as i'd had some bad news from home just before i played. got myself back together a bit before my game with fazanes but couldn't quite pull off a victory, went down 10-7.
had to get an emergency change of flight and i'm now home but proud of myself for getting to the last 64.
great tournament, great players and great conditions!
thanks to the berkshire massive and all the other brits who were very supportive when i needed them.
can't wait now for my next euro!

I just got back aswell Had a real tough draw with Sacha Tege first round and Wojciech Trajdos on the one loss side, didn't get much of a look in but still you have to beat the best (just wish it wasn't that early lol). Mark had another great tournament, big well done to Gareth aswell who was playing some real good pool (must of been his mascot Mickey lol). Great debut tourney for Alan aswell, well done mate. If anyone is thinking of playing on a Euro Tour, I urge you to do so. Gre, David and the team do an amazing job with setting it all up and it runs like clockwork. Really looking forward to 2008!

This was my fourth ET and it was such an awesome event. I did play better this time except for my match against Jason Dunworth (a quality player and a great guy BTW). In that match we both played badly but I managed to claw back to win my second on the winners side 10-8. I got off to a good start against a good player from Belarus too. For my third match I had the formiddable task of getting past John Vasallos, a former winner and he just beat Daz 10-6. I was really up for this match because I knew all the pressure would be on him and I just had to let my arm go. I missed one ball at 4-4 which was crucial but could still have won the match had I not had an unbelieveable 3 scratches and dry break after that. I missed 1 and he missed 3 so this is a match I should have won. Then on the one loss side I met another good player from Italy and despite going 7-5 up things went wrong after that with him running all his 3 then I had a dry break and eventually went down 10-8. So a better performance all round but am still disappointed not to have won one of those last 2 matches as I should have had them both. Can't wait for next season now and am pretty sure I'm going to attend all 7. Massive congratulations to Mark Gray for another great tournament despite him feeling very under the weather with a heavy cold and what a great achievement it is becoming European number one. Well done mate. [ This message was edited by: Riggers on 2007-12-09 15:46 ]

Cheers Riggers ta! Not long been home myself and cant believe im ranked Europes No1!!!,only 3 tour events ago i was ranked 121!! Have 2 say i think this is the best Euro stop there is-great hotel, great atmosphere especially at the business end of the tournament and the weather was gorgeous 2!!! Wish i had felt a bit better as i think i cud of gone on 2 win it,but fair play 2 Bruno he played well and with all the italian support he had 2 it was a thoroughly deserved win and hes a top bloke.
Have 2 say a big thanks 2 David and Gre and all there staff who do a great job of running these events with 256 entries every time, and i cant wait for next year. See you all soon, Mark.

well done Mark - absoloutley fantastic effort. Incredible achievement when as you say you were 121 3 events ago.... a 3rd, a 1st and another 3rd is just so consistent considering the level of play, especially when luck does play a part in our game - even when you play the best you can get beat - so when you get results like this, its amazing and well deserved.
once again Mark had the "Twitchability" factor against the europeans - they just seem to miss against him at crucial times.... I need to get on ebay and get me a bag of "twitchability" for the new year.... lol
congrats again mark - now we have World no.1 and European no.1
what on earth goin on???? lol Brilliant

Is Twitchability available in the pro9 shop? If no, I hear Riggers has a healthy supply of the stuff, he, he, he!
Well done Mark, I knew you would tear up the tour. Can't believe we had to talk you into doing it, lol!!

just got on here for first time since getting back..my first eurotour and i had a great time over there..shame i didnt play that well but it's the experience that counts..first macth against Budnik i should of beat him scratched on the break at 8-8 and he ran the match no disgrace as he almost took oout Alcaide after beating him 8-6 lost 10-6, and the next on after a 11 hour wait i was 4-0 up missed a stupid 8 to go 6-2 and then lost my confidence at 7-7 i had a chance but blew it..never mind eh..just wanted to say well done to mark gray met him for first time out there and he's a nice bloke too.. Also well done to Alan Millership brilliant performance mate. Had a great time over there, and seeing about 20 brits in the bar at 2 o'clock in morning singing at top of their voices was quality..riggers should go for x-factor next year!
