Being a stats fan i've been updating the latest rankings following the completed matches at the World Champs and following his defeat yesterday I think Ken Doherty will be outside the Top 16, and Matthew Stevens will just miss out on a Top 16 place.

It also looks like Joe Perry and Mark King could be back in the Top 16.

If Ronnie gets past Liu Chuang he has to play Williams which will be tough if he doesn't get his head and game right. I think Williams has an outside chance and also Joe Swail could be a shock in the Top Half.

The bottom half looks more and more likely to be Maguire v Murphy semi now Selby is out. However, with both Robertson and Ebdon still there it's gonna be tough.

It's actually too tough to call, but i'm gonna say..................................................................
.......................................................................
Ronnie as i think when he gets past Liu he'll settle down and produce his best stuff.

As long as Murphy goes out early and someone decent like Higgins or O'Sullivan wins it I'll be happy.

Hendry doesn't seem to have the hunger any more

With Higgins out that opens up the top qtr for Hendry to get to Semi Final if he can get his game together.

Looking forward to Ronnie v Williams tonight,. You'd have to think Ronnie is favourite but Mark will be tough.

Come on Ali, dump Murphy out please!!!!

If Murphy gets through I'll eat my face!

COME ON CARTER!

Looks like Maguire is on-fire! Let's hope he doesn't burn himself out too early!

Maguire is playing some insane stuff. To whitewash a session on Robertson shows everything you need to know, it might just be his time.

No disrespect to Wenbo, Swail - Bingham, Perry but you would expect the winner of Carter, Ebdon - Day, Hendry to win their respective quarter finals.

I think it will be:

O'Sullivan v Day
Carter v Maguire

I think Maguire will sail into the final, to hopefully play Ronnie in what would be a great final.

i agree mal

thats the semi too my opinion

ronnie v maguire final

just worried maguire peaked too early,,where ronnie not found his top game yet but come sf and final he will be on his game i think

thing about ronnie his more happy when playing attacking players and the draw kind to him

williams plays attacking ,as does hendry and day ,swail wenbo.. and maguire of course

if he plays selby and the slower players he can get bored and frustrated!

did you see that? Amazing shot to dislodge that second to last red. Gotta feel for Mark Williams though.
