It looks to me that the TV table isn't breaking as easily as it has done in the past, it'll be interesting to hear the player's opinions.

Its not winner breaks....its 3 breaks on, 3 breaks off. Unless the format has changed since I played.

Hi All.... thought I'd say something about the tables... This has got to be one of the best Eurotours yet, I spoke to Dave before the start and he said that they have reduced the pocket size to 11.5cm at the corner. This is a pretty big change from normal, so I was hoping to see more of the top players winning their matches. It seems that it's working out that way too.
Playing conditions are interesting too: the aircon is on very high and the room is very cold, it makes the tables play really bouncy, but slow... it's a strange combination. Dave was right about the break too... it's much tougher to break than usual. I had 3 real dry breaks in one of my matches.
My pick of the bunch for this tournament has to be Niels Feijen and Imran Majid. They were both breaking fantastically
It's gonna be interesting to see how it goes today. Fingers crossed!

Oh yes and the only female left (very fit too) is 9-6 down to Stepanov. But looks like going out 10-6.

Peach has beaten Majid 10-7 and that was a comeback from 7-3 down. Still in with a chance of European No 1.

Can anyone crunch the numbers to see how these latest score lines are going to affect the rankings??
Am I right in saying Mark, Stepanov, Souqeut & Neils Feijen still all have a chance of No1????

Ive had a go at calculating it but i could be wrong lol! Now that Mark Gray has reached the semis it means that Neils Feijen can no longer top the rankings, also if Stepanov loses which looks likely (8-4 down) then he too will be out of the running. That means it is a straight fight between Ralf and Mark who would meet in the semis. I think the only way now for Mark not to finsh top of the rankings would be for Souquet to win the event.

If Mark reaches the final then he is No1 no matter what Souquet does. If Mark loses in the semi, then Souquet needs to win the event to be No1. Awesome display by the Brits again. [ This message was edited by: devil on 2007-12-08 14:53 ]

Souquet down 8-6
Will Mark automatically be no1 if Souquet loses this match?

If so who would you pick?? For me it would be Daryl Peach (Cpt) Karl Boyes Mark Gray Raj Hundal Imran Majid In fact how about organizing a match between 2 British sides cos another 5 picks would be: Craig Osbourne Matthew Lawrenson Jonni Fulcher Kevin Uzzell Andy Worthington Plenty others that would be good enough too in my opinion. ----------------- Multiple winner of the Solihull Wednesday knockout competition.
