Ha ha this is a great thread.
Dazzler, I like your idea about ps2 tiger woods.
Maybe a competition on ps3 Tiger Woods is a better idea. I may have a chance in that and won't cost me a fortune in balls. lol

Tony.........address the ball, flex your knees, swing like a **** and hook it in the trees!

Funny thread, sorry to join it late, did any of these games take place?

I took up golf very late in life and have only been playing regularly as a club member for 6 years. Have reached 'senior' age now. Have never had a lesson so the swing is "odd" but who cares, just count 'em up at the end. My handicap is 2. It's a great game and I wish I'd taken it up earlier. My home club is Abu Dhabi Golf Club which after a couple of small alterations in progress will be 7,485 yards off the back tees and is a regular European Tour event venue every January/February. The club can be seen on www.adgolfclub.com

I qualified for one European Seniors PGA Tour event by winning a qualifying tourney but got a shoulder injury the week before the event and stupidly stiil played and made a pure arris of it. That's life. At least I didn't have to give up amateur status as signed the waiver of any prize money befoe teeing it up. Planning in 2008 to play the Scottish and British Senior Amateur Opens for the first time and possibly one or two Senior tourneys in USA.

Amazing how many snooker/pool players all over the world can also play golf reasonably, must be the hand/eye coordination thing.

Anyone heading out this way on holidays or tourneys etc give us a shout if they want to swing a club in Abu Dhabi or Dubai. If I can't play myself can sometimes help in getting people on to any "fully booked" courses. It is getting very expensive here though. Hopefully that will get better with about 10 new courses expected to be completed in UAE within next 4 years.

Wow, backtolife. Another quality golfer. There does seem a lot of good golfers on here. Unfortunately I am not one of them although I did recently record my first EAGLE and it was on a par 4, sandwiched between 3 pars. Something went wrong that day, I played far too well lol.
Its a great game though and I would recommend everyone to give it a go.
