My thoughts are, that if eveyone did the right thing this game would go a lot further a lot quicker? the guys who dont do the right thing know who they are and most players know who his who and what they are 1, 2, or 3. I know that i always do the right thing! and its costly sometimes but at least i'm honest, and thats how it should be!!! makes you sleep better!

I am sure i will be corrected on some details but to the best of my knowledge Stephen Hendry in the world snooker final against Jimmy White with the score at 17 - 16 had a situation where the ref had awarded him a free ball which effectively ended the tournament. He then asked the ref to take a better look as he didn't believe this to be the case. After careful inspection there was no free ball, Hendry lost that frame and won the decider. Up until that point i wasn't a big Hendry fan but to do that when he had been awarded a free ball which all but won him the world title earned him more respect and admiration than anything else he had achieved. yes simon robles one of the great guys have met !
not many people would do that!
we all get upset when lose and we all want to win,me just as much as anybody and am a very bad loser especially in the past! but on the table i believe in playing to the rules try your absolute best to win but at same time stick to the rules and thats admitting you fouled or was wrong, and i dislike seeing people sharking there opponent, and i believe when you foul make sure your opponent knows you fouled ,few times at weekend i see people foul but dont let opponent know ,they didnt realise and ended up playing cueball from where it landed which was a tougher spot..

I re-racked it and went on to loose the match, and i got some abuse about it, i kept being told that i should of took it. Two posts in one day !!! i'm shatterd now.... lol that happened to me alot during the last GB9Bt i played on table 23 twice out of 3 games and had 4 golden breaks against me where they went straight in..the table wasn't tapped properly, we tried to re-tap the table before the game but the cloth was so worn it didnt make any difference...knowing this i asked both opponents shall we re-rack if 9 goes straight in..both didnt want to..

to be honest i am a 2 i think...Alot of other people bend the rules aswell...a good example is not racking randomly...putting the 2 at the back or putting the balls in a certain order to gain an advantage...which is a form of cheating...i probably used to be a 1 when i first started playing but you grow out of that.

It's good to see some good honest opinions here. Personally I know I've never been a 1 but since playing American Pool I know I've drifted occassionally towards 2 but I know for sure where I want to be and that's 3. And that's regardless of whether my opponent is a 1 or a 2 - that does not alter the fact that 3 is what we should all aim to be all the time. I know I will.

I really believe that i am a number 3, and always have been. even to the point that when i was playing Ozzi in Nottingham he lagged on a dead rail so i offered for us both to lag the other end so that it was fair.
I know many players have not been a number 1, i actually think that more people are 3's than 2's, especially on tour.
Its nice to know that your more than likely going to come up against some1 who will more than likely call a foul on themselves if you dont see it. I think i had that happen from somebody else in Croydon come to think of it
