Hi,
I'm currently developing Virtual Pool 4 with Celeris and some of the requirements mean we need a lot more 'real' computer opponents.

If you are interested then please let me know. Probably easiest to add me on Facebook (Jon-Paul Murrow) as I'll be able to send out mass emails when we're collecting the info from you. But you can PM or reply here, I really don't mind.

To be in the game we will need a photo (preferably down on a shot) and some info on your pool background / achievements. This includes all disciplines so isn't just restricted to 9 ballers.

We'll collect all this information at a later date, I'm just gauging interest at the moment. I think it would be great to have some of our top pro's involved.

In the meantime, have a Google for 'Virtual Pool 3' to see the game.

Cheers

JP

FYI Here's the list of guys who have shown interest so far:

Adam Stevens
Andy Appleton
Andy MacDonald
Andy MacNiven
Andy Morris
Anthony Illingworth
Barry French
Big Dave Knight
Craig Osborne
Dan Lim
Dan Mccreadie
Darren Murray
Daryl Peach
Doug Gordon
Greg Alexander
Imran Majid
Jan Ibrahim
Jennifer Roberts
Jon-Paul Murrow (me!)
Karl Boyes
*laz1957
Mark Hughes
Marek Hajdovsky
Martyn 'no e' Royce
Matthew Lester
Michael Beeston
Michael Valentine
Noel Salonga
Oliver-John Dark
*OsamaBinPottin
Paddy McLoughlin
Pat Holtz
Phil Morgan
Shirley Ang
Tom Havelock
Tony David
Tony Southern

*pro9 name (I need your real name please, else we can't put you in I'm afraid)

VP

JP is "one of us" as you can see from his post count, and he knows who you all are, and I've told him the forum users at Pro9 would be delighted to give full support to this... I know you're all at the GB9 event this weekend, but make sure you all reply to this if you want to be immortalised in the best video game for pool - EVER!

It would be interesting to see who you get, can you please put a list of who they sign up. Also, what formats will vp4 be on?

I know VP4 is going to be on PC but not sure what other formats. I'll have to have a chat with the main guy (I'm just a contract developer).

As for the list, I'll have to have a chat with people to see if they don't mind listing their names, but that's a good idea.

There are other guys signed up from the USA who I'm not aware of.

If you need a player for the beginner level who always shanks the 9, I'm your man :) And I'm not sure what your CGI budget is, but for authenticity you'll need to program sudden onset of sweating and shaking as my character gets down to the table for the 9.

Let me know your real names too please, cheers.

I love the VP series, am currently addicted to it on Ipod touch.
Put me down as the unpredictable, inconsistent player with varying ability, most of the time, I think!

How many players are you after, and do they need to be pool celebrities or what?

As many as possible at the moment I think. Pool players are needed but they don't have to be top pro's or anything.
