Topic: Rack N Roll 20th Birthday Tournaments 14th/15th October

The Rack N Roll celebrates its 20th birthday this year and we are running two tournaments to celebrate. On Saturday 14th October the Rack N Roll will host its ninth annual 10 ball open tournament and on Sunday 15th October a 9 ball open tournament.

It is only £40* to enter both the 10 ball and the 9 ball tournaments or £25 for single entry into either. Each tournament will be on a first paid basis for the first 32 players paid and entry will close on Monday 9th October. Once the entry deadline has passed there will be no refunds. Limited to 32 entrants maximum for each tournament. (*£40 entry is based on spots being available in both tournaments).

The club will kindly put £100 in to each tournament as long as there 16 paid players in each tournament. They are also recovering 7 tables for these tournaments.

10 Ball details:

Doors open at 10am with play starting at 10.30am on Saturday 14th October for the 10 ball tournament. The format for the day will be double elimination up to the quarter final stage with a full field of 32 (four from the winner’s side and four from the loser’s side). If we have less numbers than this, then this will be amended to the double elimination to the semi-finals or just double elimination all the way depending on the final number of entrants but you will be kept updated.

Remember is is call shot (ball & pocket). It will be a race to 8 on winner’s side and a race to 6 on the loser’s side and there will be. It will be winner breaks through out. The draw will be completed on Wednesday/Thursday. You will be contacted with you start time after the draw is complete, so please make sure you are at the club in plenty of time if you are on the 10.30 time slot. As if you are late your opponent will be awarded a rack for every 5 minutes you are late or if not in by 20 minutes after your start time you will forfeit you game no exceptions.

9 Ball details:

Doors will open at 11am with play starting at 11.30am on Sunday 15th October for the 9 ball tournament. The format for the day will be first round group stage (8 groups of 4, top 2 to go through) followed by straight knockout stages. In the group stages it will be alternate break, 9 on the spot and three point break rule will be used. Races to 5 in the group stage. Knockout stages will be winner breaks, 9 on the spot and a race to 7 until the final, which will be a race to 9 winner breaks.

Prize money for each tournament based on 32 entrants paid (+£100 added).
