Sunday 21st August the Rack n Roll will play host to its annual 9 ball scotch doubles tournament. Doors open at 11am with play starting at 11.30am. Limited to 20 teams maximum. All entry money paid out in prize fund. It will be £40 entry fee per team to be paid in advance by Wednesday 17th August. You can pay either at the club or to Keith in person or via Paypal.
The format for the day will be 1st round group stage followed by straight knockout stages. In the group stages it will be alternate break and races will be to 7 in the group stage. It will be four groups of 4 or 5 with the top two from each group going through to the last 8 knockout stage. Knockout stages will be winner breaks and a race to 9.
The winning team will have their names added to the house trophy also. Previous winners include Ben Moore & Rich Bennett 2009 & 2010, Al Coton & Kev Simpson 2011, Tommy Donlon & Tony Weafer 2012 & 2013/14, Dave Hopkin & Kev Simpson 2015.
There will also be a plate comp (subject to number of entries) for the those who do not make it through the group stages and for those who lose in the quarter final stages. This will be straight knockout and a race to 7 throughout the plate comp. The Plate comp will be subject to going ahead with a full field or very close to a full field and the prize money will be subject to the number of entries.
Prize money based on 16 entries as follows
Winner - £250
Runner up - £150
Semi finalist x2 - £90
Plate comp winner x1 - £60
