Topic: GB9 Liverpool Qualifier (12/3/16)

This is aimed at getting new players interested in the GB9 tour and for those, and for not already signed up to come and have a go!

If we get 16 entrants, we will add more spots or we will add cash prizes.

In between Lime St Station and the Adelphi Hotel

Car park next to venue is £10 all day, shuts at 7 on a Saturday, 4 on a Sunday.

There is a carpark opposite the Adelphi hotel next to Smokie Mo's Pub on Mount Pleasant which is cheaper.

Entry fee £20. (NO EXCEPTIONS).

Winner gets entry into a 2016 GB9 event plus 2 nights in hotel. (not inc UK Open Event in July)

Other places and prize money depends on number of entrants

We need 11 entrants to cover costs of sending winner, we can send both finalists if we get 18 and they are willing to attend and share hotel at same GB9 event.

If we get 16, winner gets spot & hotel, r-up gets spot.

The format is to be Double Elimination, no matter how many enter. (DE to semis is 16 and under, to quarters if 17+)

Alternate breaks

* 9 on the spot
* 2 at the back
* Golden Breaks count
* no 3 point rule (due to differences in table quality)

All matches race to 7 on winners side (6 on losers side), final race to 9

No Dresscode for this event

Please be aware that this is an open event which will have no handicaps.

Don't understand how 20 entry for 16 players can pay for 2 spots and hotels

Entry is £100 each, single room is £120 for 2 nights total £320

John Parke will be running comp as I'm unable to attend due to my back problem

Need £220 for one spot so if less than 11 players can decide to pay more or have a cash comp

Posters are up. and manager Jimmy has reserved tables 2-5 & 14. 5 tables in all from 11.30am to 5pm.

I told him that the semis and final may not be over by then , so may need 2 & 3 for a bit after that if ok, but as always, as soon as a table is free we will give it back.
