Ok so after the fantastic event at Basildon its time to head to Bristol. Mark Parker achieved a double victory on Sunday showing how Open these events are with the handicaps. Get your names down and support this T9B event. Event now two weeks away. Come and show us what you can do and what records you can break.

Morning all entries coming in now thick and fast with 4 local players, Mark and myself promoting. The event is looking good as although there isnt a full field as yet... the entry fee is higher than usual so the prize pool is looking decent. Roll on Saturday. Get your names down folks

Well, this is the first time I have ever driven for 4 hours to get to a venue only to be so disgusted with the playing conditions I'm going home the same night without staying in the hotel and playing.... Devastated, £80 in fuel, £55 done on hotel that can't be refunded, the £75 entry fee to tournament just cannot be justified on this occasion (not Phil's fault entirely but someone must have known in that neck of the woods how bad they were!?) Wanted the practice for GB9.... This would do more damage than good I fear.. Off home, lay in tomorrow, day with the missus is gonna be a day well spent. Good luck to all playing, don't forget your pitch forks, pitch and wedges and maybe a sand wedge . It's x I'm sure it will still be a well run tournament as ever!

Tables are the same for everyone. If its not Diamonds and Simonis, tables are pretty much of a muchness anyway. Gone all that way Shotgun, should of had a spin. If you do know a club in the London area or south-east with pro tables, championship cloth and amazing playing conditions, I would like to know where it is, I can't find one? You mentioned GB9, you must be ok at pool, conditions shouldn't really affect you. Most of those players would pot them off the lampshade with a broomstick!

yeah disappointing only 16 players but still was a great event enjoyed by all. £400 was up for grabs not bad for the field and paid out to Quarter's. Tables were brushed over night and it was commented by a few players how nice they played. all in all a great days pool. Thanks you Rileys Bristol we will be coming again soon.

Couldn't agree more Phil! Tables were shocking on Friday night, but after being cleaned (except for one) were as good, or "as average' as any Riley's club. Had a reasonable good time, my first event for a year! Might get back on it! P.S. It was great to catch up with you all, & especially nice for Big Dave to come down, top man! ----------------- [ This message was edited by: Shooter on 2013-08-04 00:03 ]

It was great to see you too Jon - and Sam Sherwood too... And very nice to see some new faces playing (who hadn't heard of Pro9 before too, if you can imagine such a thing, haha). Everyone I spoke to seemed very happy. I've managed to great some really cracking photos of everyone... And three videos too - quite a bumper crop - I'm really pleased with the photos, I've just arrived at home and I'm starting work on them now! I'm mad for it! ----------------- Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor [ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2013-08-04 02:18 ]
