Getting peak performance. Being in the zone. How do you do it? Practise is one thing but what about gaining the edge? Drugs, expresso, double redbull or a whiskey? Or listening to music or are you clean living and prefer to do exercise, a spot of running or going swimming so you can be relaxed when playing? One thing is for sure waccy baccy doesn't help your game

Everyone else knows except you... And we're all keeping quiet about it!

Not wrong there Dave, I try to get an interesting topic going and everyone clams up. It's like they are protecting the Holy Grail of 9-ball. Don't let people know your secret 'alert' tactics. I personally find bananas are quite good

Sing a song in your head is a good way.

Anyone ever counted to spots on the back of a tea spoon during a match?

Not sure it's allowed in big comps. I could imagine Strickland doing it. Gloves, elbow pads, yellow glasses, headphones and eazybreath nose tape. But he wouldn't listen to music as he enjoys abusing members of the public and loves the sound of his own voice!

The best one I heard about earl was him taping a heavy weight to his head to make sure he kept his head down on the shot Now if that's not an indication the man needs professional help I don't know what is

...and they think it's OK to have that mentality. They think it's a winners mentality when we all know that cheats are losers. That's the difference between us and them. [ This message was edited by: Riggers on 2008-06-09 13:09 ]
