Looks like a massive event have been talking to the organisers and they are very excited about the tournament.
25 European spots in the main field I believe with qualifiers in advance.

My information at the moment is that the top 16 ranked players in the Eurotour will not be allowed to play in any other event but the Qatar one. This will make our event easier to win however as the elite won't be there.

I've managed to get a place in the qualifiers as i am working in Qatar but i've been told they are nearly full and will probably start a day early on the 26th due to the number of entries. The venue is actually an academy for the Qatari national pool and snooker teams. Everything is paid for by the government including professional coaches.

I am going to Qatar.....i was originally going to Lugo because its a great event, well run, super venue, and nice people!
If you cant play in Qatar, i would recommend going to Lugo!
I know there are flights from Liverpool to Santiago (nearest airport) for £40 return at the moment, if that helps anyone.
Good luck to all that enter.

Thanks Daryl for your comments. it is a shame that the EPBF have banned the top sixteen Eurotour players from playing in Lugo, but they had a committment to the Qatar event and they are insisting that the 16 either go there or if not, they are barred from the Spanish event. Politics!!!! Even David Alcaide is barred from this tournament!!! As I said before, this makes the Lugo tournament easier to win, I might even enter myself!!!
