You may be aware that we have a reserve list we use to a) offer tour places if someone leaves the tour and b) offer individual spots if a tour player pulls out of a particular event.
Whilst we still have quite a few names on the list it has been quite fluid over the last few months. People who were added earlier in the year, who I thought had no chance of a place because they were so far down the list are being offered places.
So I just wanted to let you know that if you do want to join GB9 please get your name on the list because you've an increasingly good chance of getting a place before the qualifiers start later this year.
Visit www.gb9balltour.com for details of how to join the list.
At the moment we have 126 players down for Wealdstone so 2 more lucky people from the reserve list will be getting a phone call shortly.

Does being on the reserve list & playing as a 'one-off' benefit the player towards playing on the tour next season? I.e. seeding in the qualifying tourneys?

There will be no seeding in qualifying tourneys but any ranking points obtained in events will count towards the rolling ranking points so if players subsequently earn their tour spot they will already have some ranking points.

We had 8 reserve places (challenge division) for Wealdstone as it seems to be a popular holiday time. 2 have not yet been allocated from the reserve list so do get your names down as you may well get one of the last few places at this event.

Correction - event full However there's always time for late withdrawals so reserves still have a chance.
