Hi everyone,

I will be running the qualifier for the GB team for the Euro Champs to be held at Solihull on Sat 10th May. This is a pre-pay ONLY event and receipt of your payment will confirm your entry.

Payment details as follows;

Paypal (£26.09 to cover paypal fees) address paypal at gb9balltour dot com (@ and . replaced to prevent spam)

Or if you want to pay by cheque send me a PM for details;

Or cash is acceptable if you will see me before the date.

The winner will get £800 expenses (subject to 32 entries) and prize money will be paid out to the runner up / semi-finalists if numbers exceed this.

And one more time - this is PRE-PAY ONLY.

PM me or post here with any questions.

Cheers,

Jonathan.

pretty sure i'm not going to be able to :(, saving every last penny for GB9, holidays (which happen to be the day after this event), and possibly going to try and save to go to a eurotour at the end of the year, possible holland

One thing you can be sure of is that none of the top 3 ranked GB9 players will be entering :)

What a great opportunity this is though! To be able to join Imran and Darren in Team GB and be able to say you represented your country in the European Championships.

Good luck to everyone taking part and many thanks to Jonathan and Pat for volunteering to run these important qualifiers.

not confident at all mr hirst, was just hoping the qualifying event would offer a bit of 8 ball as there seems to be a severe lack of american 8 ball events in the uk and any player who represents us in the european champs (with exception of mr appleton) is surely going to be a bit tactically naive at this discipline due to a lack of proper tournament practice?

Mr Majid can play a bit of 8 ball too! Remember he reached the final of the Grand Masters last year eventually losing to a guy who was unbeatable that weekend i.e. David Alcadie. Great Britain has a great chance in that event.

yep - see your point Jamie and it would be good to have more american 8 ball events. It's just that 9 ball is still the main tournament discipline for American pool and it's still the one to win at the Euro Champs.

Perhaps if we hold qualifiers next year we could consider the feasibility of having a combined discipline event?

Cheers,

Jonathan.

Come on chaps - roll up for a great chance to represent GB at the Euro Champs.

I'm trying to get 32 entries for this in order to cover £800 of the costs of attending the championships for the winner. Obviously if the number of entries remains low I'll have to review the feasability of self-financing the outstanding cost for those who have entered, prior to continuing with the event.

PM me or post here if you'd like to play.

Many thanks,

Jonathan.

Cannon fodder - don't believe it.

Tourny is 2 weeks on Sat - so to give me chance to do the necessary should numbers remain low, sometime next week would be best.

Thanks,

Jonathan.
