I am in need of help and comforting.Currently living in Malaysia and not many places to shoot pool. The tables have cloth which are worned out and never replaced. You guys in the UK have places like Rileys where you get cheap rates but here we are charged according to the hours.I am starting with A levels in January.Played snooker today and lost because not much practice. Can anybody advise me on how to improve and maintain that standard.Where can I play?Tables here are expensive!Any books (instructional) which I can get?Just confirmation,is it not too late to practise seriously at 18 or 19 maybe 20 and become good?

It probably comes down to making the most out of when you do play, plan your practise sessions and work on drills and things rather than just playing. Arrange matches against better players. Regarding the tables, unfortunately we are all at the mercy of table quality.

Yes,I have been playing with better players. In the Philippines they are forced to play on 'bald' tables by the roadside. What is the average snooker break you guys get?Is it around 50.Any info on Raj Hundal and Imran Majid?Did they play snooker before and how did they do?Thanks
