The way this handicap system works is the lower your handicap is the better the player you are so Raj being on a +1 means that someone thats on a +8 he would have to give 4 and 6 ball

can you explain it, i have never played in a handicap before, but doesnt that mean that if he plays an unknown player, he would be even?

yes he would, but what you have to remember is that you have to prove you are a bad player not prove how good you are thats how a handicap system should work.

you treat the 4 & 6 as nine balls pot them like a nine ball except on the break if they are potted they come back up and respotted on the footspot so theoretically you have three nine balls on the table.

I would say you are a 2 or 3 handicap. I probably but you on a 3. take a look at the ball difference below.

1 ball = 8 ball
2 ball = 7 ball
3 ball = 6 ball
4 ball = 5 ball
5 ball = 5 & 8 ball
6 ball = 5 & 7 ball
7 ball = 4 & 6 ball
8 ball = 4,6 & 8 ball
9 ball = 3,5 & 7 ball

Now its the ball difference between you and your opponent
i.e if you are 3 and your opponent is a 6 thats a diference of 3 balls so you give your opponent the 6 ball. He now treats the 7 ball like a 9 ball giving him two nine balls on the table. You pot the balls as normal all 9 ball rules still apply. If you were playing some one like Imran majid who is on a -1 thats a differenc of 4 balls you would get the 5 ball.

yes there are still places. You have to pay a £10 deposit to secure a spot before 21st December you can pay by paypal by 7th December thepaypal address is theorganizer@hotmail.co.uk. you also can go into the Club and pay your deposit speak to the Manager Jason or Gemma the Assistant Manager.
The problem with unknown players they have to be of a +1 to start.

thats fine, we'll just have to go this year and then play again next year. Is there any saturday night handicap tournaments before this one, we may be able to come up to a few first.
