Karl won his match easily and now faces Raj in the first round tomorrow, this will probably be on the web page at 9.00 am UK time.

The loser takes home 150 euros and the winner stays on for a crack at the 10,000 euros.

Best performances so far by the foreign players:
Rico Diks with wins of 8-2, 8-2 and 8-0.
Huidji See with a bye and two wins of 8-1 and 8-2
Jonni Fulcher, a bye and 8-7, 8-3
Jason Lawrence with wins of 8-0, 8-7, 8-6
Karl Boyes, bye, bye, 8-4

Was great... we all got done by this Gama chap! he played awesome against me.. completely flawless! he should have won the tournament but for a bad shot on the 8. Just goes to show, you cannot underestimate anyone these days! Was good to see the chaps from the UK: Karl, Raj, Paddy, Rico, Pat, Mohammad and Jason. Hope I didn't miss anyone... also good to see Huidji. We all had a few laughs out and about last night. I've had a good weekend: learned a few moves from Raj at 3 cushion and a few moves from Huidji at One Pocket. Been real good fun. See you all at the next tournament.

Hi everyone who came to Spain, thanks for supporting our tournament and making it truly "International" .
We all enjoyed having you over here and hope that it will not be too long until you return. As you saw we know how to run tournaments and it is not all about what happens on the tables as you saw last night in the Fonte Do Rei.
We traditionally thank all of our working team by having a dinner and a few? drinks with them after it is all over. There were nearly 60 people present last night. I went to bed at 2.30 and hear that some of you were a lot later.
Although we didn't get the numbers we expected, we certainly had quality both from home and overseas.
As Jonni said, Gama was in great form and took out some good players on his way to the final, Paquito also played like he can and ended up with the cash.
Shame that Karl and Raj clashed in the first match.
Rico played a blinder all weekend until he came up against Gama, good to see him back on the tables.
Jonni also put in solid performance but Gama was also too much for him on the day.
Huidji also surprised a lot of people who don't know him.
Yogi and Paddy didn't make it to the final stage on this occasion but I am sure they enjoyed their stay in Lugo.
Pat Holtz looked good in the early stages but fell once again at the hands of that man Gama.
Thanks for wearing the Kilt Pat, it raised a lot of interest from the spectators.

Next tournament but not on this scale, is in the Voer Kafe in Malaga in September. Will post details soon, First Prize 3000 euros
