many so called decent tours, competitions are rubbish with live scoring, eurotour is the best by far

I agree. That's why GB9 has not attempted live scoring so far, because if we are going to do it we will do it properly.

If Daryl wins his match, his next match will be a mouth-watering one no matter who he gets. It's either a re-match against reigning World 8-Ball Champion Ronnie Alcano or a re-match against some guy called Roberto Gomez :-D

How much do I wish we were getting this on TV?!

Good luck to all the UK players!

Best wishes

melling was 6-1 up now 7-4

peach 9-0

good luck to lads

back home now obviously very dissapointed esp seeing the draw jasmin got too... top half definatley the section to be in.. funny feeling marcus chamat going to run very close in this!

as for myself my break let me down against jasim made one bad mistake few dry breaks and was 6-3 down she played really good again on me, got back to 6-5 and missed a dolly 8ball to go 6-6 after playing such a good finish to get to the 8ball slightly got distracted on the 8ball should have got back up ,but the pillock i am stayed down and missed it by 2 foot lol

last rack she pulled out a great clearance esp the last ball she plays really good and deserved to win hope she goes far if not win it!

but on these tables its 80% the break tables are so easy and pockets play like 6inch big..so balls off the break vital ,i probably had 30% success rate just not good enough at that level!!

The break just does my head in at this game. Mine is rubbish so I started putting more work into it. That produced some temporary results so I stuck with it, only to see the dry breaks return for no apparent reason and stand by and watch an opponent with what looks like a rubbish break get 2 & 3 balls down. The whole subject gets me down so I can understand how daz is feeling :(

I have just heard from Mark...

He had 3 shots, which were 3 dry breaks and found himself 6-0 down....

melling was poor with cueball what i seen but slowly was getting better and having sneaked thru qualfiers thru back door who knows what might happen, his forst 2 matches he was poor but since picked his game up

he was cut breaking along with dazzler maybe a tactic i should have used!

his currently 8-7 up on weston, break is by far the biggest weapon on them tables,so its hard to see past the big breakers svb, alcano, orcullo, etc..

just goes to show theres not much in the big time players dyno, you dry bummed bruno in the eurotour final and now hes getin the better of van boening 9-6 upto yet.

as you say break massive at 8 ball and a lot of luck in 9 ball and obviously skill, different day, different winner

well 8ball on them tables ,dont need real good cueball control just need to hold yourself together and make balls of the break... pockets way too big just silly.. for the level of play these days they really need to shim pockets more so for 8ball than 9ball.

any of the 8 players can win just depends who gets most luck off the breaks and holds there nerve at vital stages!

Yes well done Chris.

I'll be pulling for Marcus or Ralph now but the smart money is obviously on Alcano or Orcollo.

The Euros have got to start beating the Filipinos more regularly now... Daryl's made a great start with the 9-ball World Champs... Maybe we could have another European 8-ball Champ too!

Well done Mr Melling... The only reason he wasn't on the poll was because his "pool name" was too long!

:D
