Yes. The ranking system given lists the minimum number of points as being 2 for a 65th place finish and there's only 128 people on the tour.
So by my reckoning... The only people with 0 points are those who haven't turned up to any events (but have paid all their money) There shouldn't be anyone with 1 point and People turning up to 2 events should have at least 4 points by now.
Obviously, if the field was larger than 128 at Croydon then this won't be the case.

I have to agree with you Machine Gun the points system has got me confused too, although i think it may be down to how points were allocated to first round losers in the first tournament. I remember seeing the points had been changed with a pen on the board at Solihull. Perhaps Mr Riggers can shed light on this. I'm sure he's got plenty of spare time at the moment lol!! (Sorry Riggers).

I've just had a look at the rankings and I think I may have the answer. Those 32 players losing in the first round and therefore ranked 97-128 for that tournament get nil points. Therefore only players 1-96 get points on the main rankings. So the ranking point schedule should show 97th 0. Is that right Mr Riggers. I think the rankings schedule on GB9 is slightly misleading and I think you have to get to round 2 to get points. And thats a lot of thinking from me in one day!!!!

There was an error in the points mentioned on the board in Solihull and Craig is quite right that is was corrected but that was fixed some time ago and is correct on the website. Also please be aware that you do not get any points just for turning up because the last placed position is set to zero points (except in event 1 - see below). In the main event, because of the way the seeding works the last placed position is 97th (round 1 losers), which is why you do receive points for 65th (round 2 losers) and so on. The exception was Solihull in the main event where we played an open draw and there was no seeding, which is why round 1 losers in Solihull were 65th and therefore received 2 points. Perhaps this needs to be looked at but I can confirm that the points have been allocated exactly as published in accordance with actual standings at the events held so far. For those that don't know I thought it worth mentioning that the Pro Shop and Cue Doctor, Joe Mathews, both of which provide a valuable service at our events, do provide a cut of their profits to GB9, which in turn will benefit all GB9 members and help improve the tour. So if ever there was a reason for using these guys at our events that's it.
Many thanks Dave, Andy and Joe for your generous contributions and to all the players who used their services.

Ok nice one for clearing that up. I don't think this needs looking at as it all makes sense and seems fair (plus, from now onwards there will always be enough ranking points so a seeding is possible).
Good work guys
