just got back to my room...
started out against john smitdt played bad in middle of the game but won 7-5
played luat next 5-4 up pretty good play then thrown last 3 racks away and missed 8ball...just wasnt feeling great on the cue today
but battled back drew luat again this time beat him 7-5
so put me in last 8 everyone on one loss so become straight k/0
draw corteza felt i was playing ok but wasnt really get much run and no shot after breaks
6-5 down i got ball in hand with 4 hangers probably missed easiest run out of my life to make it 6-6 ..my break ..as they say in states i dogged it big time..would have had adam smith in semi final which would have good ..other semi is ralf v svb
hopefully pick myself up for straight pool final later tonight
when i reflect i suppose ill be pleased with my play over the week..round 11-12 in 9ball beating so many good players races to 7 is not too bad!!
finished 5th 9ball 17th in banks around 30th in one pocket 2nd in one pocket challnge with 50 ball run
and still got straight pool final to come!
thanks for support

Well done Daz on a tournament well played. What's the rules about the "One Pocket Challenge"? Also, anyone know who won the TAR match between Niels Fiejen and a guy called, I believe, Scooter. It was a race to 21 with Scooter getting the 8 and 9 and there was something like $3400 in the middle. thanks played bad in straight pool final didnt start until 11pm i was flat and tired missed some silly balls but 2nd not bad in only my 2nd ever straight pool tournament and had runs of 114 ,100,85 rules in one pocket challnge are its $50 entry you get 3 attempts for that each attempt u get 5 full rack of balls ,each rack u got to pot as many in your nominated pocket before u break u nominate your pocket after break u try and make many balls in that one pocket obviously if u clear table thats 15 points 1 point per ball.. then rerack again break of and do same again.. after 5 racks u calculate your final score...thats how i got 50 mika won it with 53 record is 61 last year by gabe owen its agreat game and a good practise drill 5ht 9ball pretty good but could have easily reached final at least.. svb beat lee van corteza in final 7-6 was poor match.. but good week the match with busta and svb on the sat night first half poor 2nd half of match was awesome best have seen busta play for long time! and shane was great! am back for 10days then play euro tour then back to states for 6 weeks or so!! ----------------- world ranked no 1 and current world 9ball champion Available for exhibitions & coaching www.darrenappleton.com [ This message was edited by: dynamitedaz on 2009-02-04 02:08 ]
